We NEED to dish out a hiding circa 2001-2003, and not serve up the rubbish efforts of 2004-2007, against Melbourne.Cam wrote:Tick it off. Next.
Must win the next two.
Every year we go in to QB game raging favs against these turds and lose.
And Caaaaaaaaarlton? They can't play any better and we can't play any worse than that shit-fight the other week, so let's just correct this anomonalie shall we?
Then it's on to our bogey team, the Dawgs. Surely we have the leg speed and endurance to mow them down now?
PS. How choice was Medhust's unpaid push-out in the goal square for that final goal which put us 101 points up? I was waiting for the whistle to go against us!
pps. Go the Swan-dog! Woof.

No need for Rocca, are you serious... Still clearly one of our most important players. As for the extra defenders, there are a couple of kids coming through the VFL side who could develop. Lets not get too carried away.92Magarey wrote:For me, no need for Rocca. Free up the salary cap and target an extra key defender. Premiership sides are built from the defence first.

Like when he plays with a broken foot!Dale61 wrote:I was honestly expecting DTM to react about my 'Rocca who?' comment, but it seems as though everyone has seen it for how it WASN'T meant.
Ant does have a role in the team, and he proved that last week, but under certain conditions, he is also a liability.

Thought he made some servicable contributions. Didn't do enough to keep Rocca out next week. Probably more suited to a defensive or midfield role than full forward. Still has lots of potential me thinks.sharrod_theiceman wrote:Only saw the game in patches, How did S.Cox go? from all the CTV videos and board topics here seems as he has been gagging to get a start. Did he make the most of it?

Could be the start of sending the West Coast club into free-fall. Poetic justice after their pathetic turning of the blind eye to rampant drug use within their club over recent years. We are in mind blowing form and will absolutely belt Melbourne next week.

They threw urine at us at the final in Subiaco last year..but thats ok it was only Collingwood supporters if it had of been the other way around it would of been front page news condemning the Collingwood football club.

Good point but I cant really see the Wet Toasters coming even close to beating the Swans unfortunately. They are not good enough at present and struggle at the fall of the ball. That is where the mighty 'pies come into in as we owe the Swans big time. We need to start beating them consistently starting from the next game.jackcass wrote:I hope not. I'd actually like them to come out next week and absolutely smash the Swans. Not only does it add credibility to our win, but it helps our climb to the top 4.Magpie Jack wrote:Could be the start of sending the West Coast club into free-fall.

Since Big Bryan has been in our line up our side has been unrecognisable. Maybe its only a coincidence but I saw us play Hawthorn and we looked phisically smaller and a lesser side that did not pressure at any time, lacked confidence and played a chipping style around the corridors. I hate the Dorks more than any other side we play, heres hoping we smash them in a few weeks.
Another point about Rocca is the last few games he was left out we have kicked some huge scores, what that means is he may no longer suit our evolving style of play, Although against Geelong he was quite handy and used as a decoy to drag Scarlett away from our forward line to open up the field for the other forwards.
