I think Cloke has been named at FF in every game Dave, not 100% on that though.
All I want is for us to lose the toss.

It was ugly, Brisbane thumped at every chance and they started to look over their shoulder. In the end, as Brisbane used to do so well, they man handled them out of the game. Geelong are the same team. They need to be roughed up.
The latter part is exactly right. Teams get so hung up on beating geelong at their own game, or being in awe of their skills etc...they completely ignore the weakness that kept them from being a winning team for so many years. Hard physical pressure. Just because it has been covered over with confidence doesn't mean its gone away. In fact, even when they've won games this year....this weakness has been glaring. You push geelong, and they start to make mistakes. Look at the Freo and Sydney games (and parts of the Richmond game). In fact, they have made more mistakes than everyone bar Melbourne.
Unfortunately noone has been able to push them for long enough...and because their confidence is so high, once a side stops pushing, Geelong are able to compose themselves again and bounce back. As i pointed out earlier, this has completely disappeared from our game this year. Last year we were all over teams with our pressure, this year we haven't. IF we play like last year, we stand a very good chance of knocking them off.
Put them on the ropes early, and don't let em up.
Have to disagree, Zakal and hm. I reckon the Geelong of today is a fair bit tougher than the Geelong of a couple of years ago. It's simple really; their players have bulked up and are not intimidated, anymore.
Even if you guys are right about them disliking the rough stuff, we are currently too young and slight to bother them physically.

kill for collingwood!
We did it in last year's Prelim, and imo we're in better physical shape this time around - Josh in, Richards out!roar wrote:Have to disagree, Zakal and hm.
