Oh Andrew please!! Two of their idiots collided scragging Rocca out of another contest and had the audacity to penalise him when he didn't even touch them?
EVERY SINGLE ONE of our frees was HARD WON and paid with a LATE whistle, while the pricks couldn't find frees fast enough for St.Blunda.

A simply had to win game. Great stuff. We need to work on our skills a lot more. Although I still don't see how an AFL player can either choose the worst of the options available or dispose of the ball so terribly or worse both! The umpires were crap? You're so wrong it's not funny. They were bloody cheating.

Good comeback to form for Thomas

Well done Harry

Some great clearances from Brown... just loved those low long raking kicks

Dids again getting a lot of the ball

A long way to go but it was a win

lmao it was 8-3 at one stage, you can believe the "official" count as much as you like, it usually ain't the real one, but you go tell Rocca, Burns, Johnson and Didak the maggots play a fair game.
seriously it's this very attitude that has seen the game go past them, I am constantly amazed that so called supporters will bag out our own players before they dare bag the maggots, they can go stick their heads back in the sand and pretend there's no problem.

Yeah and when Rocca has a crack at the maggot he reckons he paid the mark when it bounced strait out of his hands, in so much of a hurry to pay a kick that wasn't there that the maggot has to make one up! ffs

How many times was harvey tackled and allowed to put the ball on the ground? 5-6? ffs, the list goes on and on.
you tossers that wanna fly the flag for the maggots are a disgrace, you think it just our games? ffs watch any game this weekend and you will see the same biased shit, with the same love childs of the maggots getting a free reign while those that they don't love get caned!
it is a fair dinkum blight on the game!

N.Maxwell - 5
Badly out of form. Fumbling the footy and not providing the senior steadying experience we need. He also is not making third man up.

You are being very kind giving him that rating. Sadly out of form!

All in all the umpiring was pretty ordinary tonight, both ways!

After the Brisbane and kangaroos game, it was just a relief not to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Cloke, Rocca, Gehrig and Kositchke all had little influence but guess that is what happens on smaller grounds.

Need to play better, but still a win is a win is a win.

Thomas, Pendlebury good games. Dane Swan workman like.
Scott Burns 2 very important goals.

Midfeild where not that bad. Just clearances seem to be an issue.
Still won the game. The saints forwards very ordinary. But so where ours!!!

We just needed to win and we did.

GO PIES

Luke Ball was the issue i think. Take Ball's mammoth contribution out, and i daresay we'd be in front on the clearances. he had 5 in the first quarter...thats a good effort for a game.

EDIT: Actually we won the clearances. Its funny how perceptions and commentator power of suggestion can skew things.

32-28. Without Ball it would have been a thrashing 32-20.
We were smashed in the centre clearances apparently but did ok around the ground. Haven't we been doing this all year?

Those numbers are actually the centre clearances only. No idea what the "clearances from stoppages" figures are.

I thought we dominated, just a few crucial errors that cost us a bigger margin.

Best: Leon Davis comfortably first, Didak, Burns, Pendlebury, Thomas.

How great was it to see Davis, Pendlebury and Didak constantly just nailing their kicks, hitting targets. Fantastic stuff.

Rocca and Cloke are really struggling... not good at all.

Come now, when did you last see me bag out even one of our own players?

New I'd stir you up with that one Dyso!

It was a hard fought win but lets hope it gives them the confidence to put our season back on track. Still was worried we couldn't put em away though!

How could there have been 60 centre clearances? There were only 30 goals kicked plus 4 opening bounces... I'm thinking that's all clearances there.

The Saints should be howling about a few free kicks. The Bryan HTB decision probably most of all. And that incredibly soft high contact to Medhurst.

but that only indicts the maggots more. Oldmate basically surfed Medders back into the ground and was let go because he almost touched the ball. Im happy with that, if you're a chance, its NOT in the back....but when 20minutes later Medders goes up FOR A SPECCIE...gets BOTH hands to the ball...and gets pinged for in the back...im sorry but the rule is $@&^#.

Wakelin completely thrown off the ball just before Milnes first goal. Brown pushed squarely in his shoulderblade in the opening minutes by the Useless Train. A few Out of Bounds (from both teams) that were so deliberate, Stevie Wonder could see it.

But omg...the classic of the night was Leons tackle on Dal Santo.
Umpire "no, he lost possession...free kick against you Leon"

errr you dumbarse...how did he 'lose' possession while being tackled all the while disposing correctly? Idiotic decision.

Umpires were woeful. Didnt particularly play out any bias, but still crap nonetheless.
