Oh, okay, i thought you might not have known how to highlight and quote or something. That's cool. Took me a couple of goes when I first got on here.kambarker wrote:mel_kay39 wrote:Um, Kambarker, nicely put - if I may say so myself! (and I did, see above) sorry, but it didn't look like you were quoting me. Were you?kambarker wrote:But I must make special mention of Medhurst. Boy has this guy come along since moving over from Perth! Collingwood is making a real player of this guy. No more selfish play, no more prancing around the goal competing with Farmer for the spotlight, at the Pies, this guy takes that spotlight and f**king OWNS it. He is also really showing signs of settling into the team and getting to know his team mates (he hosted the Black and White Show recently, and has the weirdest sense of humour, but you've got to love him. He's a true Pie now). A six goal effort that could have easily been eight if he'd been even more accurate in front of goal, meant that he was my first choice for the medal this year. Travis and Pendles threatened to take the award from Paul for a moment there, but just a moment. Then when he went up to collect the medal, he gave a great, moving speech. Quickly becoming one of my favourite players, Medhurst is the best trade Collingwood has made in at least five years. I just hope Cameron Wood can have the same impact as Medders
OH MEDDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cant say much more.
Today you were a star!!!!
And the rest,
FANTASTIC!!
Yes.......I did use your quote.........and I am not sure why it wasnt high-lighted..sorry.
You said it all so well.

Fantastic win.
The games prior to this seemed to lack the run we have always hung our hat on.
Against the Bombers it returned. The pressure applied across the board was fantastic. Attacked outside and up the guts. Bombers had no chance.
This is the team we have been waiting for to come out to play.
Well done boys. You made us proud yet again.

Just a fabulous effort.
Paul Medhurst continues to improve and now is an integral part of our side.
A great team effort and just goes to prove how dominate we can be when we have so many contributors.
Our forward line structure worked very well and that in no way is a backhanded insult directed at Anthony Roccas absence from the side.Everything just worked so well.If we can work together like that next week then we are a huge chance against Hawthorn.

outstanding win - lot of pressure on them yesterday and they stood up.
Fwd line looked good being more mobile. Definately worth having a crack that way vs the cats.
Cook and Wellingham were really pleasing. Cook particularly made some really good decisions under pressure and Wellingham makes space pretty well. I think we need to persist with these kids at the expense of Holland.
Wood I thought was v solid at times as well.
As good as the game was it was not good to see Leon drop his head for that mark. Dont know why he did that.

[quote="Usurper"]Hard to take anything out of today, other than a bit of confidence for some players (like Cloke, who finally might feel he can take a mark again).
Ryan Cook - running out of chances to show something worthwhile
Cloke - Pull your head in, and your finger out, boy, you are better than junk time goals
Lockyer - Fading this year compared to last. Hit straps mid year hopefully
I must have watched a different game

Top game, but why were there so many seats vacant? I had 2 seats beside me empty so I streched out....
Where was this sell-out BS the AFL were sprouting?
A whole row of ESS in front of me were clapping & cheering in the first quarter & no peep from them the rest of the 3 quarters. Sat there with their arms folded.
When Cloke kicked that 70 metre bomb, the kid (15yo maybe) goes to his dad it was touched, his dad just shook his head, kid slouches in his seat dejected.
I laughed my bloody head off!
ESS guy next to my daughter (possibly 20yo) had his face painted. 6yo daughter asks me why has this old man got his face painted?
I said I don't know, some folks like to look like clowns I guess....

What a great day for our football club.
Played hard and attacking from halfway through that second quarter till full time. To beat Essendon by 73 points is great and is a margin that I have never seen the Pies beat the dons by ever and more importantly we finally really put a team away.
Winners all over the ground, Medders, Pendles, Cloke, Didak the list goes on.
Bring on the Dawks we are raring to go!
GO PIES

I watched the game at work and boy did I feel good, belted out the song at full time in front of customers and staff What a win!
Yeah sure the red and black traffic cones they placed out on the field played a shit game but man a 73 point win is just what we need for our confidence going into the 3 or 4 weeks of hell that's coming. I mean, this team DID beat North Melbourne and Geelong only beat them by 99 points... Surely that means we're better than we have been shown to think over the past few weeks.
