Mate, that's exactly what I did - haven't felt that sick since the first GF loss to Brisbane.
That's exactly what it was though wasn't it? It was a sick feeling... really strange.
It was and, as you say, worse because it was Dids. At least if it was O'Bree or Brodie I could have abused them as worthless scum to try to make myself feel better, but not Dids.

I cannot see the point in dwelling on Didak's kick and blaming it for costing us the game. There were at least two other missed opportunities in the last few minutes. One where Medders decided to run around and kick across his body instead of doing a standard drop punt. The other was Tarkyn's sky high pass to a player who was on his own about 30 feet out directly in front. If the pass was flat, the North defender would not have had the time to make the spoil.
How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say?

Alan Didak didn't cost us the game as you say is correct. 21 points up 13 min into the last, then falling in a hole again as a team cost us the game.

Mate nobody is blaming Dids. We merely saying how we felt when he missed. I gave him 3 votes for the night, and we wouldn't have been near them without him.

Maybe if we all sang "Where's Your Didak" when he got the ball, he might have kicked it.

It goes to the tune of "Where's Your Head At" by Basement Jaxx

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Don't let the walls cave in on you
We can't evolve alone without you
Don't let the walls cave in on you
We can't evolve alone without you
Don't let the walls cave in on you
You get what you give that much is true
Don't let the walls cave in on you
You turned the world away from you

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

You have found yourself
Trapped in this incomprehensible maze
Where's your head at
Where's your head at

Don't make it easy on yourself
Where's your head at
Got to get...
Got to get...
Got to get...
Got to get...

Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak

Don't let the walls cave in on you
We can't evolve alone without you
Don't let the walls cave in on you
We can't evolve alone without you
Where's your Didak
Where's your Didak
We can't evolve alone without you
We can't evolve alone without you

What we have here is an opportunity. Now is the perfect time to clean out all the spastics who reckon the season is over. PISS OFF and get on the Cats or Hawks bandwagons. We don't want you. You don't deserve to be a part of it when we're playing finals at the end of the year.

If not for ridiculous umpiring decisions and skill errors, we'd be 4-1. You same spastics would be lording it up and looking forward to taking on the Cats or Hawks.

Now some of you are taking the high moral ground because apparently it's weak to blame the umpires. It's WEAK to slam players that are giving their all, and understandably have their spirits broken by diabolical judgements that steal our momentum and hand the game to the opposition. Twice it has happened. The kick to Rocca was easily 15m, the 50m penalty against Harry was a farce (the spoil was NOT clumsy), and the bounce was inept. Collectively, it is CHEATING.

The delivery to Rocca wasn't good enough. You can't blame the big guy. He had a crack. Medhurst takes his marks out in front on long leads near the wing. It's much easier to kick it to him. He is a beautiful thing. Chris Tarrant = Paul Medhurst + Nathan J Brown ROFL.

Cloke's been great every 1st half and hardly touched the ball after half time. One week it was a slight injury. Buggers me what's going on apart from that.

Rhyce Shaw played a game his brother would have been proud of. Heath was off his game. He's allowed to be every now and again though.

Cam Wood played his best game for us. Why he was in the forward line and Josh in the ruck at the end, I dunno. Other way round would have made more sense to me. I get the impression that Mick's still tooling around with the team a fair bit. He likes to go under the radar. In the two seasons we made GFs and last year's prelim, when did we ever sit near the top of the table at the beginning of the season?

Panic merchants, go to buggery. I haven't lost the faith. I'm not sure we'll beat Essendon but we'll stick it right up the Hawks.

And probably have the game stolen from us in the dying minutes by the friggen umpires...

Where did I hear that interview with Harvey?

He said if Dids had've kicked that goal, that would've deflated them & there was no chance they could've risen from that.

Oh well, we let it slip.....again!

Once a Collingwood supporter always a Collingwood supporter.

I don't think that anyone has lost faith, but I as I'm sure others do,get fed up with just a handfull of players contributing, if as I mentioned in a previous post, players are not contributing and don't realise what an honour it is to play for this great club then they are the ones who should bugger off as you put it.

Premierships are won by a combined team effort with everyone contributing, not just a handfull.

I also think it is about time we stopped blaming others when we get beaten, eg umpires
If we are serious contenders then we should be able to win off our own boot.

Also please don't knock the supporters they are the very heart and soul of this mighty football club, and they like everyone want a premiership, I think it is about time.
It's been eighteen years since our last one so I think that us supporters are very justified in wanting a better result.

I AGREE 100%. I wasn't at the game, was in Tasmania getting sms updates from my mate. I promised myself I wouldn't watch the reply, but last night couldn't resist (it was on my hard drive and the nutter in me had to watch it). The umpires totally changed momentum. The non 15m call, Harry O's legit spoil (even in slow mo he got to the contest) - the commentators didn't even discuss it. The bounce straight to Simpson (how hard is it to get a clear centre break in a tight match?). Add to these the ridiculous amount of kind bounces the Roos got (Lower's goal anyone?), as well as the Brisbane game where apparently a fair tackle is a free kick against, and you have a team sitting 2-3 instead of 4-1. Yeah, we haven't played brilliantly, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take the points. Anyone who can't see the Collingwood hate in an umpire, get real. They all have a team they once followed and all subconsciously love seeing us beat, demonstrated in some disgusting decisions. The first quarter vs Carlton is another example. It's just the truth.

I wasn't knocking the supporters. You guys don't count. Supporters give support, not widespread criticism in the face of a frustrating loss. You think we should be able to win the game off our own boot? I completely agree. It would also be nice if the opposition was expected to do the same.

You can't expect us to be so much better that bullshit umpiring doesn't factor against every opposing team. In a comp that employs the draft and salary cap to sorta kinda keep everyone competitive, it isn't possible. Especially since the reality is that these structures tend to favour non-Victorian clubs.

I don't think we had 'few' contributors. Didak, R Shaw, Wood, Medhurst, Pendlebury, Rocca, Davis, Fraser, Wakelin, and Cloke for the first quarter all performed to or above my expectations of them. And do you really think guys like Thomas, Heath, Johnson, Holland weren't trying? Daisy isn't consistent yet, we all know that, why lambast him when he has an off week? Why Trav couldn't get near the ball after quarter time is a mystery to me, but I don't reckon he'd put the cue in the rack. Goldsack was playing his first game back, you have to have realistic expectations. Dutchy is probably past it, but unless he had a gun at Mick's head during selection, you can't blame him for being out there and having a go, which he did. Clarke wasn't great but apart from one bit of play when he totally shat himself, which is a worry, he was better than his last game. If ever there was a guy entitled to some 2nd year blues, it has to be this guy.

They deserve our faith, not our boots up their arses.

I'd much rather vent my spleen at those umps who were making us lose ON PURPOSE.

I hope that we are not still having this tete a' tete in ten years time.

It has been eighteen I repeat eighteen years since our last premiership, and I for one along with numerous others I am sure who regard this club as the greatest sporting club in Australian history and a club that I love with absolute conviction have a right to feel that this particular record is not good enough.

You mentioned a few players, approximately half the team, great players but not that great that they alone can carry this great club to a premiership all by themselves. It takes everyone on the paddock to contribute.

Man for man we are at least the equal of any other club and if everyone puts in then there should be no reason why we once again can't taste success.

As for blaming umpires, get over it, that line is for old women and chronic whingers. They make heaps of mistakes and I would bet that most if not all clubs would have similar grievances.
You can't blame the umpires for what happened last weekend, we stopped and once again failed to put a side away.I know we are better than those sides that have beaten us so far this season and really we should be undefeated. So what is the problem?

I will finish by saying this, I have absolute faith in Collingwood and if we can learn to play as a team with all contributing then I've no doubt the dream will be realised.

Cheers
