Where's the IT Forum for dummies?
okay.....i have the Collingwood WIN against Wet Toast final burnt on DVD (I recorded it on tv). This has commercials in it and I'd like to edit the commercial out and give a copy of this to my mother for christmas.
Anyone help? Favourites?
I'd also like to steal one of Die4Pies photos to put on the dvd, but will pm him for permission about that as well.

I've used a prog called ULead on PC a few years ago, did the job but wasn't the easiest thing to use, but then again, you are only chopping out ads, not adding soundtracks etc. I've used something called Pinnacle once or twice t work a while back too, that was OK. I use iMovie since I moved back to mac's a year or so ago.
You should be able to download something to do the trick. half an hours searching, especially forums, should save you a bit of grief.

unless you have video editing software on your pc you might be hard pressed. and in my experience some of those dvd recorders use a proprietary file format that are not recognised by all editors so you;d need to locate a file conversion application.
if you can, for the purposes of expediency, i'd copy the dvd back to the recorder's hdd and edit it using the recorder.
faves and others may have a better suggestion.

Then copy the DVD onto your PC so you have a backup before playing with it on the DVD recorder.Proud Pies wrote:no, last time i deleted the whole programme trying to do that lolLondon Dave wrote:That would be the smartest thing to do I'd reckon.Jock McPie wrote:if you can, for the purposes of expediency, i'd copy the dvd back to the recorder's hdd and edit it using the recorder.
