What really annoyed me was....
- Thompson throws ball, bounces back to Thomas.. No Fifty
- Johncock or whoever hangs onto Clarke after a mark... No Fifty
- Torney handballs deliberately out of bounds... No deliberate
- Wakes kicks, possibly deliberately... deliberate, two kicks, Crow goal
Dale Thomas and Travis kicked like shite as well, but I digress.

We played some shit football last night and we deserved to lose, despite us being victims of some shocking umpiring decisions (see Cam's comments above).
Despite my disappointment, I am not disheartened and believe we will smash the Crows next week at the MCG. Here are my five reasons why I'm confident about winning next week.
Firstly, Adelaide had their best side in, while we have Josh, Dids and Rusling to return.
Secondly, the Crows play the dome very well with their constant flooding, whereas we haven't won a game at the dome all year. On the MCG, they won't be able to clog up our forward line anywhere near as effectively as they did last night.
Thirdly, while Reid played OK, our forward set up looked much more potent the previous week with Rusling. I think the Crows will be overwhelmed by our marking options next week.
Fourthly, while we were obviously trying to win last night, we did not quite play with the same fanatical determination you need in a finals game. Next week we'll hit them a lot harder.
Finally, I can't imagine I'll ever see seasoned players like Burns kicking the ball straight to the opposition again. The Crows must have scored at least 5 goals from easy turnovers. I just reckon we'll be a lot more switched on next week.

Rudeboy......from where I was sitting watching the game LIVE on Austar it wasnt all one way traffic until the umpiring BLUNDERS that turned it.....
There were some clangers from both sides,BUT be honest a 14/5 free kick list didnt help at all did it.

I agree mate. I still think we overdid the small chipping backwards stuff. hopefully, we'll play a more positive brand of football on the MCG next fiday night.PeterWH wrote:Rudeboy......from where I was sitting watching the game LIVE on Austar it wasnt all one way traffic until the umpiring BLUNDERS that turned it.....

I believe Swans and Roos and Crows are in the 8. we beat them.
On Anzac Day we beat the bombers who were then in 2nd place.PeterWH wrote:NOT since they have been in the 8
When we beat Adelaide in round 6 they were in 4th place.
When we beat Sydney in round 12 they were 7th.
When we beat Sydney last round they were once again 7th.
I don't know who it was in the media that made up this 'statistic' but it's just another example of how anti-collingwood the media can be.

Actually, the free kick count was 20/18 in our favour. I seem to have become the statistics policePeterWH wrote:Rudeboy......from where I was sitting watching the game LIVE on Austar it wasnt all one way traffic until the umpiring BLUNDERS that turned it.....

Lets face it, the free kicks didn't cost us the game, maybe that one with Wakes on the wing was a little dubious, I suppose but we'll never know....
However, how many times did we turn it over in the middle which resulted in goals? And how many times did we muck around with it from the kick out? And Roccas miss which went straight down the other end & ADL kicked a goal? Two goal turnaround right there....
THAT'S what cost us - silly errors. Errors you cannot afford to do come finals. This week against SYD or ADL, we need to get tough, it's all or nothing for us from here on end!

skill errors cost us, we played into the crows hands with chip kicking, when the game was over we ent long and direct rocca and cloke looked dangerous, give them a chance mick move it quickly. Bucks must play deeper int the foward line like rucciouto bucks is an accurate kick and would be more damaging at set shot for goals like rucciouto. If malcolm blight coached us he would have said richards performance was PATHETIC at the press conference and it was. We probably won it for the crows by the way we played.
