Dunno why some have been ripping into Rocca. He was good on Friday, just copped poor delivery, and it was not quick when it came, either.

His was ok but his direct opponent collected 35 odd posessions

Rocca was always going to be shown up by Bowden's running, that's why he was playing on him. Coaches will continue to do this whenever they think they can get value from it. You can't blame Rocca when Bowden runs off him. The answer is winning out of the middle and going direct. If Rocca continually gets one-on-one contests with the likes of Bowden the change will be made pretty quick. The problem for us at the moment is that not only are we getting smashed out of the middle, but our talls - who are a real threat when we're up and going - are a liability when the ball is going the other way and possotion coaches know that.

I haven't seen the game, but just thinking about the Bowden Rocca match up makes my mouth water!!! Just like the pleasant surprise of seeing Saddington standing next to Pebbles last week!!

It should be the ABSOLUTE focus of the team when they see our target forward standing one on one with a weakling defender, to get the ball down their fast!! ABSOLUTE!!!

AND i won't have anyone bag Travis Cloke's defensive skills - He is a tackling predator in our forward half!

We got smashed in the centre, as good as Rocca can be if you don't get it down to him he won't kick the goals. The centre clearances would have had to be in favour of Richmond.
