Top 4 gone.
Top 8 hard now.

I suppose that realistically we were overachieving this year.
All looks a lot better for '08. the kids will have more experience and more stamina.

I hate losing to the friggin Tigers. hate it hate it.

last time we were in this position (sudden reality check) we played a grand final - and lost to a dodgey decision and $650,000!

dont quit! losers quit, winners learn from loses!!

go my beloved pies and hold your heads high!

(my only crticism, is that malthouse should make all the forwards kick at goal 2 hous a day!! its good enough for johnny!!)
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Tonight once again proved that we are not a genuine top 4 side. Few too many holes still to fill and far too many plodders. Until we start to learn to put weaker teams away, we can hardly lay claim to being a top side!

Another way of looking at it is with Bux, Licca, Burns, Clement, Rocca, Holland, OBree, Presti, Wakes all at the end of the clock we have missed our window again.

This talk of 2008 and good for the kids is rubbish you gotta take the opportunity when it arrives and we look like throwing it all away. I reckon Malthouse was foolish and arrogant with his pre match selections and it has proved costly, and clearly motivation has plummeted.

Young players tired. Older players returning with no match fitness. Selection panel playing silly buggers this week picking a plod squad. Fraser injured or very tired. The energy has all gone. No top 4 and thereby looking forward to 2008.

I think we should be playing more kids from here.

Give the likes of Wellingham, N Brown, Reid etc a run.

We aren't going to get far, even if we manage to scrap into the eight.

Yep we can kiss top four goodbye after tonight. If we do scrape into the eight and take this form into it we will be smashed.

I feel gutted after tonight, exact same feeling as this time last year (Rnd 19 defeat to cellar dwellar Essendon) to many passengers tonite we really looked liked the plod squad!

Our last month has been terrible and we are in a big hole.

Oh the shame! Losing to Richmond, who have only won ONE game all year!!! Top 4 well and truly gone, we may struggle to win another game on current form. Demons will be ready for us next week.

Just so, so disappointing after such a promising start. I guess we should've seen it coming. We'll more than likely go out in straight sets in the finals (if we get there).

We are tired, and lack spark. Roll on 2008...

Granted that he is a young player, but Toovey is starting to look like one very ordinary player. Starting to remind me of Mark McGough.

Went backwards from the time we went back to the previously tried and true players!

I would rather see Reid, Rusling Pendlebury and Dick in next week and permanently 'rest' the players whom the game has clearly passed by.

B: Obrien Presti Clement
HB: H Shaw Goldsack R Shaw
C: Thomas O'Bree Johnson
HF: Rusling Cloke Didak
F Rocca Reid Dick

Ruck Fraser Pendlebury

Rov. Swan, Burns Lockyer, Maxwell

IC: Burns,
Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away...

Seems to lack urgency in his game. Terrible game he had a shocker and his disease seemed to spread throughout the tem.
