Good team, good to see stability with no change. The team that played last week was awesome

Good to see Tooves back as an emergency, and Dick and Reid would have to be close to getting back in the 22 soon.

Yep, agree with that and Toovey may come in if Goldsacks corky doesn't come up

Seen them at training yesterday both Rhyce & Jimmy put in a good performance, stayed on until the very end. Best to come through Willi first, get some match practice/fitness etc....

ATM who are they going to drop for Jimmy and Racer?

Sounds like Mick wants to play Rusling soon.

What a head ache for them at selection.

What we done last week is required again this week, our forward line pressure needs to be intense, continuous, relentless to lock it inside ou attack half. We shut down a very dangerous forward line last week, lucas and lloyd, must blanket brown, absolutely frustrate him into his hulk persona, force some emotions force the errors. Once they go forward and brown is getting cut off and cut up they will look for other options, thats when we dominate, force their minds to look and look again, slow them down, clog their attacking zone and space. Then once we get the pill quick kicks long, split the ground, run straight then direct to the big boys, if it hits ground we will win, if they grab it we will win. Goto drag merrit back to the square, he is shit house one on one and standing still, rocca can kick 4-5 by waiting for the long kick.
I expect matthews, good old teethy to play mind games, use brown the decoy, flip us, then bring him onto to game gradually to reset the tempo. Nothing presti and a player dropping back wont fix.

I just hope we are not too top heavy & it rains sat night! We got away with it last week, but cant afford a slip now.......

Come on pies be smart!!!!!!!!!
Can be very misleading and I think it's an over-simplification to say we're top heavy. Doesn't matter how tall you are when you can run as fast as Goldsack, Clemment, O'Brien etc. They've all shown that they're equally comfortable playing on either talls or smalls. There will always be exceptions such as Lovett, Davey (x2) and Farmer, but as a rule I'd say these guys can all play small.

Just pick the best side, simple.

This is a massive game for us and theres no understating it.
The Brisbane Lions are in very, very good form while their big guns are firing when required.
The key for us is their senior players. Jonathon Brown is going to be a massive task first off and we want him to not have a big influence because if that happens then the Lions will have to find another target upforward which will work in our favour big time.
We have to stop their run from half back. With Brown one out they can be very damaging with players such as Adcock and Drummond on the flanks while Black, Power, Lappin, Sherman and Stiller run it through the middle and look for Brown.
We have to be able to stop their run. Play hard footy and beat them in the middle. If we give first use to our forwards it will make it very difficult for them. We cant let them get free and run through the middle and use their forwards.
Its going to be tough against just about the most in form team in the competition but if we are able to play our game we should come out winners.
Go Pies!

We weren't top heavy last week, and the side is unchanged, so how can we be top heavy this week? Do you know something I don't?

Hard to see what the matchups will be. I think we should watch Black and put Licca onto him. Wouldnt mind seeing Clarke get a gig on Power. Power will teach him a lot about getting the ball. HOpefully Power would leady Marty to the ball a bit and allow him a fair bit of it.

Hoping to see Lonie totally let loose. I think he can expose the lions.

Presti v Brown
Goldsack if he plays v Mcgrath who has snuck under some radars
