Has he played much at willy yet??? Like all other players, after a long stint out he will need to find good touch in willy to be selected.

Has Lonie even played this year? I can't remember. Hopefully he can perform, because you would suspect that they are giving him his last chance.

Lonie got 18 touches in the first half last week on the wing then sat on the pine incase he was required for Collingwood this week. Found 23 of it in 2 and a half quarters.

Hes in good nick. Great to see Presti back, will be interesting to see if he actually does play. Eases the pressure down back a bit.

No need for Lonie he'll add nothing, as for the rest of it happy with.

Will medders had 3 touches last week following a very poor performance the week before, he deserved to be dropped.

Great ins, Iles is stiff but someone had to make way for Presti.

I've been saying for the last 7 days that we need Richards and Lonie in the side, so I hope they don't make me look stupid on the weekend

but yeah. Presti in? Absolutely fantastic.

another test for the franklins no frills backline. Keep lloyd and lucas queit will give us a chance of winning. Fletcher will be a danger as mal michael has freed his game up maybe Mick must think of a mismatch in that department.Mcphee can be damaging with run from the back half as well
Our intensity on the ball and tackling pressure will help our backline(no easy ball movement inside 50) apparently it was not there last week let's see if it returns this week.

Agree with you Spoljar. Bombers often intense in the first quarter. I too reckon holding them early will go a long way towards knocking em off.

Despite the opinions of his many detractors on Nicks, I for one think Lonie is a great inclusion. He'll add run and great long kicks to our forwards.

Glad Medhurst is out, he has the worst decision making in our team when he has the ball, is not used to playing for his team, single minded, one sided, predictable and does not find the ball unless its kicked directly to him. I hope lonie plays well, richards is richards and i think its a mistake playing half a player, you dont have pure ruckmen anymore, they are finished the game is won around the ground, a place where richards seems to go missing. Laycock will now have an impact great...

Looks like a wining side on paper but never write off Sheedy's lot.
I just wonder if they'll rough up young Clarke early on. Usual Bomber tactic.
Back 6 look rock solid.
Forward 6 look damaging. Just kick straight boys... an often.

Cmorrrn Pies, I got money on this one!!!

DaVe86 wrote:Love it. Just as i was hoping. I reckon Lone's is going to have a hugeeeee game. 18 touches in the first half of the willy game last week, then was rested up for this game. He will be firing. Let him loose too.

Presti named on the bench is suprising, but our backline looks sured right up now. We have many options to rotate on Lloyd and Lucas. If they get on top of 1, we have cover.

Richards is the choice over Bryan as well.
Harry will give Lucas another bath Dave. Go get em Pies.

Given the unlikelihood that Bucks will play again, we're only missing Clement and Rhyce from our potentially best side. If we can get these 2 back in the next 2-3 weeks and then keep a settled line-up for the last 4-5 weeks leading up to the finals, it will give us a great opportunity to build up our confidence and prepare for an all out assault on the Premiership. I get the feeling things are falling into place nicely.
