Williamstown practice matches - 2003.

Post by Dale61 »

If my calendar is correct, the first two practice matches are on a Friday, but all Collingwood / Williamstown fans are urged to attend.

23.02.03 - v Northern Bullants @ Victoria Park @ 12.00 *(Date and time changed from 21.02.03)
28.02.03 - v Box Hill Hawks @ Victoria Park @ 2pm
08.03.03 - v Geelong/St.Josephs @ Victoria Park @ 11.30am & 2pm **
15.03.03 - v Nth Ballarat @ Northern Oval @ 10am & 12.00
22.03.03 - v Bendigo Bombers @ Victoria Park @ 2pm
29.03.03 - v Coburg Tigers @ Victoria Park (TBC) @ 11.30am & 2pm

**NOTE** - The game on 08.03.03 has some conflicting information. The official VFL site shows that the reserves game against St. Josephs is to be played at Baytec Stadium (aka Skilled), whilst there is no mention of the senior game. However, the WFC website shows that both the reserves and seniors are to play at McHale Stadium (aka Victoria Park), as shown above. Will endeavour to confirm this situation as the date draws closer.

How many of the Collingwood list players, play for Williamstown in practice matches?
How does the Coll coach decide who will go to play at Williamstown?

If that's all therte is my friend, then lets keep dancing.

Dromana Boy, during the regular season, any Collingwood listed player who is fit, but doesn't get named in the senior side, moves down to play for Williamstown.

For practice matches, it would depend on the coaching staff who would play for Williamstown. Any number of factors would determine if a player gets a run for Williamstown.

The earlier times for all practice matches is for the reserves match.

Clokey, are you predicting a first round pre-season comp loss?
