Bendigo Bombers

Post by Fradam »

I think it's great for football in country victoria that the Bendigo Diggers have been saved in some form by merging with Essendon but it's going to be tough barracking for a side with an association with essendon and wearing their jumper. Go Bendigo but more importantly, go Wily!!!!!!!

I know what you mean Fradam. I've enjoyed supporting the Diggers over the last couple of years, and certainly hoped something could be done to help make them more competitive - but I don't know how on earth I'm going to wear a Bendigo Bombers jumper!!!

GO PIES!

Is the Essendon / Bendigo merger official?

Thx Lisey, looks like you read today's Herald Sun as well....LOL

In other merger news, Port Melbourne and The Kangaroos have merged, whilst news on the Carlton / Northern Bullants merger is still forthcoming. I think Scum have more important priorities at this stage, but will need all the players they can muster, and to merge with an existing VFL team is the most likely scenario.

The Carlton / Northern Bullants merger is official, which means this seasons VFL competition has been reduced to 13 teams.
