how did they go?
did the senior pie players esp:molly play well?

Typical Tassie tv news only reported on the Tassie side losing and didn;t have any reports on how the other games went.

Jarrod Molloy RULES!!!!

Pain, gain for Molloy
25 August 2002 Sunday Herald Sun
By HOWARD LEIGH

YOU could call Collingwood strongman Jarrod Molloy the walking wounded.

He lined up for Williamstown in yesterday's final VFL home and away game against Springvale at Moorabbin swathed in bandages.

<IMG SRC="http://www.magpies.net/nick/ubb/image_uploads/Jarrod.jpg" border=0>

His troublesome right knee was heavily strapped, as was the broken finger on his left hand.

From the five-minute mark of the first quarter, he wore white masking tape to protect a lacerated scalp, the result of a head clash.

For all the pain, Molloy performed admirably, which pleased Williamstown coach Brad Gotch and Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse with the AFL finals around the corner.

Molloy, 26, gathered 15 kicks and five handballs, had seven marks and finished with 2.1 to help Williamstown win by 55 points and lock in a berth in next week's finals.

Molloy said he had pulled up well in what was his best hit-out for several weeks.

"I feel I got some confidence back in my body," he said. "My knee felt good and I had no problems with the toe I broke."

Gotch said he told Molloy to play naturally and help break open packs with his physical strengths.

"Jarrod is making some inroads in what has been a most frustrating year," Gotch said.

I love him so much! Anthony told me today he got 2 goals and like 45 possesions or something and I went crazy! I knew you could do it Jarrod! Show Collingwood what you are made of!

This is so weird! Jarrod's 1st game back was against Bulldogs, his big comeback might be against bulldogs!

I love you Jarrod! I cheer for you big time at every game even if you don't play! Ask anybody that sits with me!

Love always, Alyssa xoxo

Someone at yesterdays game mentioned they saw the Willy match and that as well as Jarrod having a good game - the best part was that he (legally!) knocked out three opponents!! Now that's what we need in our senior team - Jarrod to knock out (legally!) the idiots who keep giving Tazz a hard time!

sounds as if he's back to his old self. poor bloke must be so frustrated with the year he's had - cracking a few skulls(legally of course) must ease a bit of tension.
