Guy Richards cops a chronic baggin on here week after week yet mention Frasers form or his attack on the ball and every ones wants your blood. Great effort yesterday and a great win bit fair dinkum some of Frasers attacks on the ball were about as hard a tub of butter sittin on top of ayers rock. We all have our favourite players and its time some people on here opened their eyes and realised Fraser is playing very ordinary football at best and if hes injured or not right rest him, if he's ok well I'd send him to Willi with Leon and bring some more of these young kids in that are having a RED HOT go.

I too respect the men who went and fought in Vietnam, both for their courage at the time and for the difficulties they still endure in their daily lives today as a result of it. But I have a deal more respect for those few who had the moral courage to refuse to go - that took more guts, and it was standing up for what is right, not blindly saying "my country right or wrong" - because there is no doubt about it, we were very, very wrong in that war. Our participation remains a national disgrace.jimbeam wrote:Rude they where there for Australia, its not their fault. They where conscripted to goto war so they went, they deserve the same amount of respect the ANZACS received. Anyone one of us could have been in nam, not because we wanted to go and kill people but the Australian government drafted us and sent us into war. So please next time try and show them some respect.
As for the vets who fought in WW1, WW2 and perhaps also Korea, I have nothing but respect and gratitude for these men and women. A terribly difficult task, and an incredibly important one, and a task very well done.

Another win, another step closer to heart failure!!!!!
Fantastic day at the footy!!
Harry: Some are saying day out, but Harry played his usual game - It just happened to be on the in form forward of the competition! A true joy to watch!
Heater: See above!
Dick: Great pass to Bryan inside 50m from a great diving handball under pressure from O'Bree in the 4th,.. or was that 2nd? Love it when a player is always looking to go through the middle - No doubt under instructions!! AND doesn't he know where the goals are!!
Trav: Could've easily been a clear 2nd best on ground had he held a couple of marks & kicked a little straighter!!
Didak: Only a little rusty
Bring on the Boooooos!!!!!

Impressed with the win. You know, I KNEW we would lose. I just KNEW it. I didn't give us much of a chance of knocking Essendon over.
Then I kicked back (on the couch) to watch the game...
What changed my mind was the Magpies with their arms around each other during the entire presentation. They looked comfortable and self-assured. I could see they KNEW they were going to win, too. During the anthem, the Bombers tried it, and threw their arms over each other's shoulders, but it looked awkward, stage-managed.
The camera tightened up on Malthouse and Clement, and there they were, staring down their Bomber counterparts. Not angry stares, or antagonistic - just the stares of men with a job to do, knowing they'd have to go through the blokes in front of them to do it. They were confident.
By the end of the anthem I had SMSed a mate at the game, only 3 words: We will win.

Yes, great performance for all but the first ten minutes, Heath was legendary, had him pegged for the medal halfway through the second quarter. Great games from Rhyce, Harry, Tarks and Burnsey too. But it's hard to find a passenger in a team that really worked for each other on the day, tackling and pressuring to the last second. And it was worth it to see the look on Hird's face, too! Anytime we can upset the Bummers like that I am very, very happy. Hats off to the boys.
Congrats Bucks, on a great return! Bring on the Crows!

Big Day at Wests
Ha ha ha we had an unreal day at Wests Aussie Rules in Sydney's inner west. Good turn up by SCSC and I think the club made a lot of cash out of food and drink purchases. I can't remember us making so much noise!
I still reckon Rocca got that goal
We didn't get our 40 acres and a mule
But you're my piece of the rock
And I love you CC
