Always disappointing to lose a game but I thought going in that it would be a very tough game, weather only compounded that. Port were missing Brogan from their best 22 while we were without Bucks, Dids, Holland, Lonie, Medhurst and Wakelin from our best 22.

great game, though should've been in front a bit more at 3q time.

i actually think we missed our lonie and our wakelin a lot.

chad cornes is too good a player to let go in one quarter.

umpiring: crap but what's new.

another thing: you can't win a game when you don't kick a goal in the final term, unless you're six goals up.

Do those wankas from Port always bring that "Hertiage Stripes" banner to all there games or only the Collingwood ones? I felt like throwing the Southern stand at the prick that was holding that thing.. what a disgrace...

Must say though, Drew Morphett came up with a couple of pearlers yesterday, one deliberate, one not:

"Dick...goes long...no it's more high than long"
Apparantly Gerard Wheatley was a culpirt of a similar crime on Saturday in the box.

Have the feeling (without knowing for sure) that it is just for CFC games (the Port banner). Childish if so.

Enough of these negative threads on umpires! They make mistakes and are human and i felt gave a couple of goals away. We had opportunities and didn't make the most of them while Port did. But one positive i get out of this is the depth of Collingwood. We will have a great year. We have the hunger of 2002 back again.

But like 2002 we don't have a ruckman who can physically impose himself on the game. It's cost us 2 flags already and I can't bear to see it happen again. For ruck sake!
