Out of interest in the first 3 quarters would there have been anytime for chanting - i mean it was your normal non stop action game
Umpires were a disgrace. But the AFL will feed us more propganda about how great the umpiring is etc etc
As for Tazz i would not be mocking his absence. We really fell down badly across half forward hence all the chipping, going backwards, sidewards etc etc.

The Torres bounce is officially dead. You are walking alone now Fernando.

if they DARE do that to me again..............arghhhhhhhhhhhh
how wonderful would it have been if we played 4 quarters rather than 1 quarter????
We can see what we're capable of, such a shame we had to go through so much stress to get there in the end, but how sweet was it to snatch that victory away from them. Thank GOD Shannon Grant screwed up

Breaking down across HF has nothing to do with Tarrant.
I don't know if our midfield is just too slow or lacking quality but they are causing massive headaches for both the half backline and forward line.
No one presents or finds space when we are coming out of the backline.
We fell over last year because teams started to clog us up, which broke our run off HB.
This left our fowards with the laws of probability against them.
If we get our midfield/transition problems fixed up we will score more goals than we did last year and finish top 4. Don't hold your breath tho.

Unbelievable to get away with that one fella's !! With the standard of play in the first 3 quarters and the umpiring (mainly Wenn) I went through quite a few bevies !!!
Daisy could almost be re-named Sparky; what a spark he provides when it's really needed. Penders needs more experience in the 1's and he'll be dangerous. Harry also did some great things and isn't it good to see the young fella's sheparding and blocking !?!? A few of the senior players should take a look at how the young'ns are using their bodies.
Give Guy Richards a go, he's not a bad tap ruckman and a couple of times got it right down Burnsys thoat.
Trav's goal from the boundary would have to be goal of the week !!
Still not impressed with Lonies lack of courage and Johnno needs to better his disposal, he can get plenty of the ball but the turnover (not just today) is not good.
Give it a red hot dip next week fella's, I'm sure we'll all be cheering you on Australia wide !!!

have to agree also dale heath and leon have to play on the ball at times to give us pace which we lacked in the frist 3Qs today the pace and quick ball movement of our kids won us the game today.xtcc wrote:pendles has to play onball 90% of the game he is the core of our new midfield time for the old guys (all respect) to start on the bench

C'mon Cam that 50 was ticky touch wood at best, he was conversing with the umpire as to where the mark was, he removed his hands from the player right before the umpire gave 50.Cam wrote:Heater has given away a 50 just like that before. From memory he just escaped last time, and got out of jail again today. He needs to learn.
You can hardly blame Heater in this instance especially considering the scoreline.
This is where the laws fail the game, if Shaw over steps the mark he can be penalised 50 metres but if the he turns to the umpire to clarify the marking spot the opposition player can play on as soon as he see's fit, discussion or no discussion.
In my opinion if a marking player stopped momentum in front of goal and the opposition player is in discussion with the umpire than that player cannot play on. It is a common blight on the game game when defenders are in discussion with umpires and the forwards seek this opportunity to play on.

Really? I think we really miss Tarrant providing a long hard lead on the half forward line. I feel Rocca did well but had to much attention and was not speedy enough to break the shackles. Trav Cloke while showing glimpses of potential, isnt quite ready to lock down a key position as he doesnt seem to put himself in the right spots. Fraser was to be the other lynch pin in the forward line but when he crept forward Richards got flogged in the Ruck.lethalburns wrote:Breaking down across HF has nothing to do with Tarrant.

Morally you're right, but the fact is the umpire was technically correct in penalising Heath. You are no longer able to impede a player in any way once he's taken the mark. When you play in defence you just cannot afford to give away 50s like that. Lucky for us it did not lose us the game.Albow wrote:C'mon Cam that 50 was ticky touch wood at best, he was conversing with the umpire as to where the mark was, he removed his hands from the player right before the umpire gave 50.Cam wrote:Heater has given away a 50 just like that before. Agree 100%. Daisy looked deadly in there too. Once Dids is back, Pendles, Shaw, Didak, Daisy, Swan, Leon... a younger, faster midfield... exactly what we need.xtcc wrote:pendles has to play onball 90% of the game he is the core of our new midfield time for the old guys (all respect) to start on the bench

It has everything to do with Tarrant. Tarrant was the player providing the long leads and linking up the defence/midfield and forward line.
Watch todays game especially the first 3 quarters and our half forward line and in particular leading was non existent.
