Don't anyone blame the decision. Grant was 10 metres out, directly in front. Its all boo hoo hoo to take the embarassment away from his ultimate choke. And besides, had he kicked it, Medhurst would have slotted his or played on and slotted it.

North crow about Kerry Goode.. call it karma.

Gotta love Thomas, Pendlebury, Cloke, Shaw, Swan, gulp Lockyer

Rocca although goalless was the focal point of our forward line, presented well, and tried to get the ball down to our crumbers.

Our crumbers... there's a new term. The very best thing to hit our forward line is our new 30-50 goal a year crumber, Mr Medhurst. Gotta love him.

I said in chat we would run over the top of them, and it was close, but I always thought we were a chance to ramp up our attacking. We cut it a bit fine though.. lol
Get back on top.

Never, never, never again! The phones ringing hot around 4.30-4.40, do I answer....NO!!
I feel I have betrayed my birthright. Oh Pies forgive me, I swear, even if its Elle McPherson, I'll never do it again.
Are the Pies better than chicks ?? This is a fundamental question that needs a forum of its own....
Did your date have a "happy ending" ? if so, you're forgiven.

Wow what a game. Happy about the win, less so about how we played.

If anyone wants to read all my thoughts I just posted my match review on the main page - any feedback welcome.

I was thinking Lockyer might be our yellow canary this season. If Lockyer was playing firsts, it would mean our younger brigade were obviously not delivering. But, I agree with you, Lockyer had a great game today and helpled link some of our better plays together. Perhaps the end is not nigh.

The only happy ending I got today was the final siren!!
Did anyone see Tazza with 5 minutes to go and Freo 3 goals down, he marks on the wing, Pavlich leads, Tazza's passes from a set position...and it goes way out on the full !!

OK.. great win in the end :)

- Medhurst was great, worked hard all day, kicked a couple of important goals, chased and presented.
- Pendles was good again apart from some silly errors, as was Daisy, O'Brien was fantastic.
- Clement was his usual reliable self.
- Travis Cloke looked lost at times but kicked a great goal from the boundary.
- Rocca presented and made contests, could easily of ended up with some goals with a bit of luck.
- Tarks was good, especially in the last quarter.
- Heater and Swan continued to impress.
- Leon was dangerous.

although.......

Umpiring attrotious, they might as well just flip a bloody coin at every contest.

We deserved to win, we were playing against 22 roos and 3 umpires today. That little shit Harvey and his little prick mate Grant play for frees at every opportunity and the scumpires pay them.

Why didn't leon get a free for the shirtfront, front on with his head over the ball?? That cost us a goal and they took it up the other end and scored.

AFL football is in a lot of trouble if they are going to continue to serve up that rubbish. I have already been feeling a little unenthusiastic about it this year, I'll stop going if the stupid rule changes and incosistent umpiring of those stupid changes continues, it's turning our great game into a disorganised, over umpired, game of keepings off.

Our error rate has to improve, at 3/4 time, we had 50 erros, thats pathetic! We were leading in every stat exept clearances and obviously on the scoreboard. If just have to use the ball better.

Richards is shit, even when he went up in the ruck uncontetsed he couldn't manage to bring it down to our advantage. Fraser had a bit of an off day too, all this meant we got smashed in the clearances.

Pendles looked excellent, just needs to spend more time on the ball. Very happy with his game. Thomas, Clement, H.Shaw, Obrien.... fantastic. Medhurst looked great, Cloke did very well, Leon was very good too. Tarks and Burns were great, Presti the same... can't really think who else. When Heata gave away that 50, I buried my head in my hands. Then when it hit the post, WOW. When the siren finally went, pure ELATION. Unbelievable game.
