Someone said before StKilda were almost full strength. If all those players were out, then they weren't anywhere near full strength??

Either way, a win is a win. It's all about confidence.

Pendles to be a 5 times Brownlow meadalist, a 9 time All Australian and a 3 time premiership player, twice winning the Norm Smith.

I also see Pendles winning Man of the Year for saving a baby in a fire and also averting a terrorist attack on our beloved MCG. There will be a huge bronzed statue of him next to Ronald Dale BareArse in front of the MCG Gates. And the Ponsford stand will be remaned the Pendles Stand.

So hows the season going for those who wrote us off last week?

Good win good to hear means as much as last week but all positives.

The highlights of the game were the performance of Pendlebury, Cox, and Reid. All 3 looked like they will be great players.

Others to stand out were Heater, Thomas, Davis.

Very satisfying performance seeing we still had quite a few out. The scores actually dont indicate how much we dominated. Something like 20 goals to 5 would have been a more representative score.

Always nice to win, but scores are irrelevant at this point.

The positive in my mind thus far is that Pendles, Heater (someone said he played on the wing), Richards and Bryan are essentially four new names rotating through the middle--precisely what we needed in order to at least hold our position in the eight. If Leon has advanced to the point where he can spend more time there, that would make it five new names.

A question for those who saw the game:

Leon is great at using his body in the forward line, but has struggled in the hurly burly of midfield stoppages in the past. Has he improved in that regard? I notice he has bulked up, and I was hoping that would enable him to develop his man-on-man defensive skills. I also note Brad Scott complimented his tackling in the first praccy too.

I think Pendles is so smart he could also solve Aids and Cancer.

Not to mention being GQ best looking guy for the year 2009.

Few people also know he is training to be a secret agent.

yeah leon was good in the midfield, in the forward line so often he just runs through packs and comes out the other side with the ball.....he didn't quite do that today, but he showed that he can read the play well, get a fair bit of the ball and use it quite well
