My main concern is up forward. Having Rusling as the main focus at FF is simply not going to work. For all the talent he seems to have, he always seems lost out there. Huge wrap's and too many if's for a player that has only played a handful of games.
On a positive note, both Shaw's are going to have a really good season. Brad D also looks the goods and Maxwell is looking terrific in defence.
Bottom line, its still too early and we have a fair few to come back in. It appears that its again going to be left to the usual suspects to get us into the eight. Talk of top 4 is simply hand the genitals stuff! If we make the eight, we will have had a terrific season and I think we can only scrape in!

Feels like the 100+ point loss to WC in 2004....
and we all know how the year panned out!!!!
Even though its a NAB Cup game, its obvious that some things will never change....
1. Top recruits can't kick
2. Lonie is a passenger
3. Experimentation doesn't work at Collingwood
Tonight I really thought that Rusling would step into a more active role with a full pre-seasn under his belt. Although some of the delivery wasn't to crash hot, I thought that his attack on the ball was not as intense as it should be for a guy who is funnily enough one of the more senior players in the forward line tonight....the commentators also noted his lack of ferocity at the ball

I think what you need to learn is the definition of REALISM, not bloody pessimism.....and perhaps even denial...........bazdaddy wrote:100 point loss to west coast in 2004, wow here I was thinking we beat them by 18 points at the Dome...
Good too see it takes one half of a NAB cup match for the pessimists to be out in force.
Lets face stark reality, this IS an awful bloody effort, forget all the pissy excuses....
