Ruz did OK.

It seems like no-one kicks to his leads. Maybe he leads a bit too early?? It's hard to use speed like that - you've got to time it to perfection. Plus some of the delivery early on was embarrassing

We were overcrowding the forward line a fair bit in the first three quarters.

Rus looks like he needs to start his leads from behind the goal line. But it's still encouraging stuff from a player with so few senior games under his belt.

Seemed to be a lot of talk/direction happening between our key forwards Sunday. Really noticeable how much they were working together, blocking etc. What's the chances he's been told to lead early as a dummy and to open up space for Rocca, Tarrant and Fraser when deep forward?

Good point Nomadjack. I think there is a lot going on in our forward line that is hard to pick up on TV. Another example: anyone notice over the last four or five weeks how many players are having shots on the run when there is a pass to be found? (Burnsie's pointer, Bucks (who missed) in the same match, Ego (who goaled), and so on? I think they are under instructions: something like "if you have a shot on the run and you think you are a better than 50% chance to dob it, don't pass, go for it".

Good policy, in my view. They will never learn to dob the tough shots if they don't practice them.

Well the boys are great finishers but not great starters. Trouble is, against teams like St.Kilda and Freo they need to be both. We can beat the Dogs but will want to be switched on from the get-go. I'm not too worried about the slow starts, however, when we went into the '02 finals series no one expected our boys to beat Port after the lousy second half of the season the guys put in. Half the team are still there so it's not as if this is a completely different unit. And Licca seems to be running into some form. Go Pies!!!
Congrats Bucks, on a great return! Bring on the Crows!
