B H Shaw, Presti, Clement
HB Swan, J Cloke, Maxwell
C R Shaw, O'Bree, Lonie
HF Lockyer, T Cloke, Didak
F Egan, Rusling, Buckley
Foll Fraser, Holland, Johnson
Int Burns, Licuria, Davies, Fanning/Richards

Out: Wakelin, Rocca, Isles, O'Brien (inj)
In: Davies, Presti, Lonie, Fanning/Richards
Hmmm...
Swap Lockyer and Swan.
J Cloke at centre half back is always touch-and-go, but we are playing Carlton - thank goodness!:P

Naturally, Do you believe Rocca will get dropped?
Common sense says NO. Form aside, he is too important to leave out of the side.

Good effort nonetheless. :)

We will win this one and we will win it big.
1st quarter will start out as a bit of a tug of war.
The 2nd quarter will take us into the long break with a 4 goal break.
By the end of the 3rd quarter we will be up up 50 oddpoints.
Will take the foot off a little in the final quarter and win by 60 odd points.

If im right I'll brag.
If Im wrong I'll blame some Carton supporter for making me do it

If we are going to rest players, I would prefer we did it this week, even though it is against THEM. I would like to rest Pebbles this week, but without Bucks, Leon, Thomas, Blake and Taz, it would just make it too hard. Then we could get a finals side together for the last game, unify and hopefully generate some momentum going into the finals. Maybe make Pebbles the only senior player rested last round.

Make no mistake we will have trouble beating both these teams no matter what squad we name, the way we are playing now. We will need impetus in two weeks. For now we just need to keep winning, somehow.

Out Iles Buckley Burns O'Brien
In Presti Lonie Pendlebury Yakka/Rowe

Following week:
In Buckley, Tarrant (if fit), Burns
Out: Yakka/Rowe and either J Cloke or Maxwell; Rocca/Rusling

Surely Carlton & Essendon won't win again this year... draft picks... they may not be as good as previous years... but they are still tradeable.. and 17 & 19 (Ess) & 18 & 20 (Car) are better than 17 & 33 and 18 & 34 respectively.
Get back on top.

Carlton do not want another spoon and it's a milestone game for fat red. Buckley is a huge loss and Rocca is nowhere near finding any form.

This is a danger game.

The bloos knocked off Melbourne just a couple of weeks ago. Whitnall is playing his 200th, this is the biggest game of the year for us, make no mistake. The difference between winning and losing this week is massive, and with Bux out, it makes it all the more tougher. A lot of the Carlton players are up and about and playing with confidence as they have nothing to lose, and they would dearly love to dent our top 4 aspirations.
I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody.

I hope the Pies dont think this is going to be a walk in the park. I dont think ladder positions mean all that much sometimes between these two teams. They have nothing to lose, we have everything to play for. We only have to remember what happpened against Essendon two weeks ago.....At the moment, nobody in the media has any confidence in Collingwood and thinks we will be making up the numbers in the finals (on current form they are probably right). So what we really need is a BIG confidence boosting win and we definitely need Anthony to stand up and kick a few big bombs!
