I watched the first 1/4 on Fox Footy, then fell asleep.I thought that the boys would go on with it....what a surprise when I stirred...the wife shook me...and I found that at 3/4 time we were behind......what a turn around and we won,BUT it was touch and go.This is the sort of game that we needed and at the right time to.
Teach that Williams a thing or to also about THE PIES......

Watch where Didak came from to take that mark. He was running through the middle; when the pack of Egan developed, Dids was there, and SPRINTED HIS ARSE OFF to make position for Rocca to find him. Amazing speed.

"HOLD THE BALL! HOLD IT!! HOLD THE F*CKING BALL!!!" - MM, Round 20, 2006

By the way, Port kicked 8.9 to our 1.9 from our 33 point lead.

Also, we may not have scored a goal in the third, but they didn't score one in the 4th. Yes, they had their chances, but so did we in the 3rd. Our backline was brilliant. Still, Isles at fullback on Ebert was a bad move. Teach him that stuff pre-season, MM, not when our season's on the line.

...and why do we let a small-ish forward dominate us from out of nowhere nearly every game. Ebert could easily have slotted 7 on us.

After the game I honestly thought Anthony Rocka was going to trip over his bottom lip-I hope he doesn't learn too many of Mathew Richardsons bad mannerisms. His self confidence is shot to bits, But hopefully if he can get some of the ball over the next couple of weeks he may turn it around.I believe if he has the ball anywhere from 60 metres in he should go for goal-just like his brother does. When Anthony is on he can win the game off his own boot-come on big fella I know you can do it!

Went to a party, came back home at 11:30 to watch it "live" on TV (for us the broadcast of the game doesn't start till 11 something). Last quarter was pretty stressful, especially watching it at 2 in the morning, still a little drunk. How good is Ruzza going to be... Heath was great, Bucks and Dids stood up at the right time, and Burns' miss was one of the most unbelievable things I've seen. The commentators were giving Burns a bit of a pasting at the end of the game, but they forgot some of the good stuff he did in the last quarter, including that great mark going back with the flight of the ball near the boundary line. Had a good sleep afterwards :D

Ebert is like that. He will go a few weeks at a time and do nothing in particular, maybe go close to getting dropped, and then BAM! he hits his straps and is almost impossible to stop for a couple of quarters. If he could do it every week, he'd be an All-Australian for sure. As it is, Ebert is one of those can-be-quiet but always dangerous forwards who can tear a match apart in 15 minutes. Similar, in a way, to Stephen Milne, Jeff Farmer, or our own Leon Davis - except that Leon has learned to perform consistently this year: less brilliance but a more solid, even contribution.

PS: if it wasn't for Jimmy, Ebert would have kicked 7.

yep, he kicked four and missed a few he should have got. Not to mention some of those dropped marks. He should have gotten at least 7, even with Jimmy on him, if he hadn't been moved onto him, it could have been 10 :P

Feel like we got out of jail big time.

From the 2nd qtr to about 5 mins from the end I could see our season slipping away. But when Bucks got that mark I sniffed that we were going to find a way. When Dids got the ball I knew it was going through. He is a star.

Heater is showing Buckley qualities. He can move up to the midfield in years to come and replace the champ. Hard, skillful and smart; the complete package!

we should have been 10 goals up early in the game but we missed some easy shots. To ports credit they fought back and had there chances to win .
