Look first and foremost we won.But...despite Didak kicking the winning goal I thought he played poor. Buckley was the one..he never takes marks like that. In my view Buckley BOG shaw good, etc

Good to see Cometti anointing Heath as the Rising Star. Pearce for mine is a Camporeale clone - good though, whereas Heathy boy reminds me of alot of a certain M Voss, from guts to running style. Gee he wins the contested footy well for a youngster.
Get back on top.

Doesn't just win the ball, Cam, he does something with it too. Something useful.

Cam, I was reading Bigfooty, and they are having a go saying that Heath doesn't get the contested ball. HA!

Heath Shaw excellent AGAIN.Bucks, Johnno and Rusling in the bests.Reminded me of the Hawthorn game a few weeks back.Only difference Port at home are a better side.Good free flowing football with handball through the middle, in the first half and then we stop playing that way and decided to chip it along the boundry and dont use the corridor in the second.
Is this because our midfield is old and slow and cant hold the ball through the middle for the whole game.or the lack of ability to hit targets. Both I think.

A couple of calls against us and this would have been one of the worst losses since 02' 03' GFs. Then again we play the scum next week, any loss to them is painful - especially when they hurt our finals chances.

I clearly have a gripe with Holland... Maybe a biased disliking for him.... How can an AFL footballer have such disgraceful skills by foot. Without any pressure on him he floats kicks or manages to hit an opposition player on the chest. Cheap kicks behind the play all night and kept putting us under pressure by foot.

I am starting to sympathise with the Obree haters. In all honesty even though I defended him early season, he has been in a rut since receiving more attention.

Licca and Holland seem excused of tagging duties. How are their opponents getting into so much space?

Someone needs to pull these two guys up and remind them that the are not Chrissy Judd and Danny Kerr.

The reality is our clearance stats were disgraceful and have been for some weeks. Single ruck and 3 average mids... it would take divine intervention to win a flag(maybe Nathan Buckley Brownlow form in the middle).

A good win. But let's be serious for a moment -- just sneaking over the line against a time that's already focussing on 2007 is not that great.

this is the win the club needed to gel together..

someone said get rid of taz now for Rusling.... Imagine how fast and potent our forward line would be with TWO guys impossible to catch on a lead.

Rusling FF, Rocca Goal square, Taz his usual role on the flank.

Our midfield is still a cause for concern but I wouldnt be too worried. Guys had extra work tonight because of the injuries and still won.

Real pity Leon went down when he did... I dont think people here appreciate how good he was actually playing. He would dominate a game like this one.

Still cant believe we won...especially after poor burnsy (who was amazing in the last quarter) hit the post. Didak doesnt kick that goal and we are in enormous trouble.

You watch us kill the blues next week and set up a real crack at top 4..we have 2 extra days break on the blues and the confidence will be back.

BTW... Didak. The great players step up in the crunch times...they wait for those moments. How many crucial, game winning goals does this make for Didak now? and the guy would be about 24. Many, many fun years to come with this bloke.
got yourself a gun...

Bought a new jumper last friday and i was proudly wearing number 39 last week. He is/will be a superstar.
You'd reckon he'll have a different number next year :) I'm guessing 10 or 7.
What was wrong with 35 or 42 for that matter 39 looks great to me
Future captain that Shaw! :D
