According to most reports I have read Collingwood lost Jason Cloke to injury in the second quarter. There was someone doing an excellent impersonation of C1 then as he played a great game in defense in the second half.

Journalist get paid good money to report on these games yet time and time again get basic facts wrong
He actually did get injured, went off, but came on.

Injured an ankle when he got cleaned up behind play by the Ru. Spent some time on the bench getting treatment.
Yeah, I know he went off with an injury. My comment refers to the statement in several articles that we lost C1 to injury in the 2nd Quarter. In fact he played for most of the game and played damn well. It was a comment on journalistic standards where they don't even check their facts before writing something that is obviously wrong.
Now theres an oxymoron... journalists and standards in the same sentence.

Heath Shaw-ly has to be NAB Rising Star! Great game from him and Dane, if they are the future, then the future's so bright, I gotta wear shades!
Very proud of most of the boys, thought Taz, Rocca and Brodie were pretty quiet, could have done with more input from them. But on the positive side, Iles showed some pace, Dale showed just how courageous he could be, going for that spoil and practically landing on his scone; Lonie played much better than his last few games, and nice to see a goal from him, too - Johnno showed the faith Mick put in him was justified; Josh was a workhorse through four quarters, and Tarks had a better night than in recent times. To keep the top team to such a low scoring game without a fully functional forward line was pretty good. Bring on September.
On Hird... does anyone remember who played on him Anzac Day? He was pretty quiet. Bung whoever it was back on him and Clement on Lucas, and we'll be right. With Daisy injured, Rhyce should play.
Congrats Bucks, on a great return! Bring on the Crows!

Nice report Johnno. It's not as easy to get a handle on a game when all you have is the inferior, stuttering replay of the video stream, so reports such as yours make a big difference to me. cheers!

With the heavy flood we put on, and Adelaide defenders playing kick-to-kick, my gradma could have got 23 marks.

That's what makes Bassett's world record a tad overrated. Richo's effort from CHF in 1996 vs Fitzroy would have been far better (or so you'd think). Although the quality of opposition would come into it...
