Interesting ins and outs for the Eagles...
Cousins, Gardiner, Fletcher (and of course Cox) are going to hurt the team.
But, I'd be a little concerned about the ins: Kerr, Glass and Chick should all cause us a little bit of trouble, and didn't Rosa kick a couple of goals in round 7?
For us, Presti, Trav and Holland, depending on what impact they have on the game, are big inclusions. On current form I doubt we'll really miss Davis, Fanning and Shaw, although if Davis played well it could make a big difference, and Fraser needs some support in the ruck. Can't believe that Cloke is out though. Not really sure what Egan brings to the side either.
Really we're not going to return to the winners list until we get some confidence back. I think this is the game where that will happen. Nothing like beating a top side who aren't actually that good

Too true Johnno and considering the form of Wakes lately he should have earned his spot - needs to keep the games up for when the changing of the guard happens ...
Let all your troubles be forgot for we are Collingwood. We'll fight it out until the end we're Collingwood. So help me Jock.
Two pies and two beers thanks!!

Question
With all the talk about C1 not getting a spot in the squad this week. What do think will happen next year.
I actually rate him and agree with alot of you that he should have got a run this week but with his lack of Senior Games is he likely to go elsewhere. Where is his contract at? Actually the same question could be said about C2 and 3.
Personally I wouldnt like either of them to move on but Clokey Senior wouldnt be happy about his boys missing out when some of the less deserving players are getting a spot.

It is so obvious the way MM picks a team. He makes most decisions based on past history. Take Egan for example. Remember that win against the odds against WCE last year? Egan was toast of the town with a good performance in the forward line. He got a few kicks, therefore we'll bring him back. C1, lets bring him in against Freo cos its a low key soft game, a sure win. Then we lose. So cripes, all of a sudden WCE is a huge game - lose it and we are in all sorts. Clokey has struggled in some big games, better drop him even though he earnt his spot last week. Morrison is an ex eagle, better keep him. I'm too young to be a cynic, but at the moment it's pretty easy to be one. And I am still a fan of MM, but dropping C1 just reaks of bias and is just not fair regardless of matchups. People crap on about matchups, well what slow average players do WCE have that morrison and Lockyer can play on? I am also a big fan of Lockyer but are we picking on recent form or matchups?
I can't see any logic to selection lately.

We need to show some bloody heart - throw ourselves at the footy, knock some blokes over.
I am going to watch you at the pub today with some of my mates who all barrack for WCE, I will walk into that pub proudly.............I just want to walk out if it proudly!
Do it for yourselves...........

Presti is coming in for Jason Cloke, it is pretty simple really, Presti is taller, better below his knees and our number one negating backman, Wakes is our number 1 CHB, he is taller than Jason and more thoughful and less pressured in his disposal, he is also getting more disposals in his games, even last week he got more touches than Jase. Jason is a wonderful player in my book but you only have room for so many tall backman and Presti, Wakes and Jimmy are our 1 2 and 3.
go pies!

Obviously Presti needs to come straight back in if he's fine, but i don't see why it had to be C1's spot. Jase is pretty mobile and can play a flank no worries, I'd have included him for Egan. Wakes is a great player and is ultra-reliable but the next time he gets injured will probably be the last time he plays. C1 needs three or four weeks of consistent senior experience before we get to finals, or we could easily end up an in-form tall back short.
Morrison will forget he changed clubs and be West Coast's best player this week. Bet he hits more than one yellow and blue chest.
