I think the Pies will get the job done against Freo. I can see them winning their fair share of the ball across the midfield but we have a more potent forward line and should make it count where it matters.

Collingwood by 39 points. :)

Fantastic to see J.Cloke in with a show. It'd be terrific if he could get a run.

I would think that we have the goods to win this match...and the fact that it is at the G makes all the difference. My only concern is Sandialands and Longmuir in the ruck. If they get on top...whic truthfully there is no doubt they will...then Pavlich, Mcpharlin, JOhnson and Farmer may get on top. Our backline is good thank god...they will all need to play a blinder.

The difference may be that our backline is much better than theirs. Freo have the worst backline in the AFL. Tarrant will get his chance...as will Rocca and Ruz. Fraser also has a chance to sneak a few in.

If we merely break even in the centre....perhaps not in hitouts but in clearences...then we will win comfortably. Even if we narrowly lose clearences...as long as our pressure is intense enough to affect easy disposals to leading forwards, then we will win.

If however Sandilands continously palms the ball down to a pretty impressive Dockers midfield...then we may lose again by 50 points. Fraser has to stand up.

Weather may have a say as well

I have to admit, I feel "dirty" about tipping Freo, but I just have a bad feeling about this game.

Mind you, I haven't tipped 8 in a round all year, so I'm sure I will get at least one tip wrong!! And I hope that it is us.

Freo just have a habit of winning games they are not meant to, and they have a very reasonable record against us lately.

Go Pies!!!

forget predictions.

if we do not win this, even the most optimistic character can't be blamed for thinking the wheels have well and truely fallen off.

Collingwood for sure. There is no way we will lose on Sunday, no way at all.

Good move to leave Fanning out. On a dry day, play him of course, but in the wet, well, we learnt against Richmond.

Still wish Clokey gets/got a run.

Actually if Fremantle are ahead on the scoreboard when the final siren goes you'll find that we do.

Freddy has not lined up for the Seagulls.... Me thinks he's a late starter against Freo..

If it is wet tomorrow, I think we will be in big trouble. If our effort in the wet against tiges is anything to go by.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.
