My side:
FORWARDS:
Davis Rocca Tarrant
Thomas Fraser Didak
CENTRE:
Johnson Buckley Lonie
Fanning
Burns
Licuria
BACKS:
Clement Wakelin Pendles
Lockyer Presti H Shaw
BENCH
O'Bree
Swan
R Shaw
Morrison
EMG
Yakka
T Cloke
J Cloke
OUT:
Davies
Rusling
IN:
Fanning
Davis
INJ:
Holland
Richards
Maxwell
I reckon Fanning deserves a shot, we need Fraser up forward to prvide a genuine third tall option, and Fanning, while not setting the world on fire this year has had some good recent form at Williamstown and is a big solid body.
Hopefully Presti pulls up ok, but if not give Jason the opportunity.
As for our midfield, I would start Bucks, Burns and Licuria at the centre bounce, they have the experience and won't be pushed around, start O'Bree and Swan on the bench and they can come in as the first rotation.
Thomas and Pendles are both playing well and where far from our worst against the Saints, they both deserve to stay in the side until thier form tapers.
Morrison, well, I would say he is next on the chopping block unless he can start winning some contested ball, he seems too slow and loose to sweep off halfback, last chance.

I think this is going to be a big must win game, Fremantle are known for their inconsistant performances this season that could be a plus for us this weekend. Though we haven't really been putting in the consistant perfomences ourselves lately.
We really need someone to come in and help Fraser, I am not sure who I would bring in to help him there is Walker or there is David Fanning, I am not sure which I would choose at this minute.
Davies and Rusling might be dropped from the side, Rusling might not be ready yet, might need some more weeks with Williamstown to see if he can get back into the swing of things.
I am not sure if I can say that we will win this game, so I am going to not make a prediction there.

I just watched the game again last night (vs saints) and just wanted to retract my comment about Morrison. He was good, not just passable, but good. He was better than Licuria, who looked very much off his game.
I thought that Davies and O'Bree where unsighted, Rusling played better than I thought, Tarrant was ok early but faded badly, and Rocca played better than Gary Lyon acknowledged.
We need a ruckman. Fraser is a dangerous forward and can rove the ground, I really hope Fanning gets a game, Holland would be a great inclusion too.
If Holland comes back then either O'Bree or Licuria should get a rest, and I mean a rest, not demotion to Willi.
GO PIES!

Agree with the ruck division. In terms of a rest for O'Bree and Licuria I don't think so, we just had the mid season break and should be fully rested.collingwoodjoe wrote:

BRING IT ON.
A lot to be worried about...
Freo will be up and about and circling like sharks the fact we are in a downer will give them more confidence..they need a huge scalp here in melbourne a victory over collingwood will give Connelly some breathing space..we are going to have to snap out of this slump NOW, a loss this weekend is something we dont need.
