Your Kidding aren't you???Chad Morrison 1/10
I would give him 6/8. Why? For the 6 goals and 2 behinds that eventuated from his costly turnovers and missing easy targets.
Deadset Morrison was the BOG for the Dees.
Keep up the good work mate.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

Julian Rowe 3/10
Heath Shaw 5/10
Chris Tarrant 1/10
Dale Thomas 4/10
Shane Wakelin- Shouldnt have played
Just a couple of differences with player ratings, we were smashed in the ruck, no suprise there when you go in with 1 soft ruckman and use your new utility as no2 when you also want him playing CHF and CHB But he will never pick 2 Clokes again...
Did either Tarrant or Rocca try at all today? I watched at times when Tarrant was 5m behind the bloke with the ball and was just watching him instead of running him down from behind
Why the **** are people defending those scumbag umpires? They were damn pathetic. End of 1st qtr, Davey pushes Shaw in the back, holding the ball-demons goal, next qtr they pay a lesser push as push in the back. The free kick against our sheperding player was a disgrace and the Amount of times Tarrant was whacked in the head in a marking contest, Rocca had 1 arm held and Presti was put in a bearhug, who knows, I lost count by qtr time

The two guys who have given us run all year were playing defensively and did not back themselves at all. BJ & Heath.
This game reminded me alot of the 2003 GF where Cole and Racer were intimidated out of the game. We lost all our run and looked slow and under pressure constantly.
Our half back line is really important given that we have no pace in the middle.
Having said this Malthouse did not seem desperate to win this game.
He left Obree on the bench for long periods. He left Buckley in the forward line until the last quarter instead of trying him off half back where we were struggling.
He left Pendles and Yakka on the ball for really long periods. He did not try Locks, Davis or Didak in the middle all that often.
As for the kids. Pendles is a player but doesnt have the tank or defensive side to his game.
Yakka better become a good ball winner as he is slower than Lica.
Rowe's disposal has improved but he is a receiver. Probably a wingman but I'm not sure he will make it.
RE Chad Morrison. I dont see why J.Cloke cant take his place. No differnce in pace or skill level. At least Jason has put the work in to improve his endurance. It has become insulting.

I am going to get shouted down for saying this but one or two of you made a comment on this thread alluding to the fact Lonie and one or two others dont like the tough stuff.
Could not agree more - in fact, its when a bloke like J1 is required. He is the hardest bloke at the footy club - completely selfless and a few that are getting senior games should have a look at how hard he goes at it.
I may have it wrong but I thought Trav was just ok today. Didnt think he was bad early when he was leading up the ground. In the second half MM played him our of position by standing him at CHB and Ruck.
Think Pendles and Thomas did just enough in the last. At least they showed they can be there in the last running hard. Yakka and Rowe could not. Morrison also misses.
Also think Richards is required to give us some use of the footy.

Should of gone straight home when I arrived in the Members at 1pm and couldnt sit in my usual spot behind the interchange bench. What a absolute joke. There where more jackets and scarfs and those frinking supporter cards on seats than people in the bloody members.Melbourne tossers.
Game itself well it has already been said.We lack pace, skill and did not attack the footy hard enough and should of really got beat by 80pts.We just didnt play to our strength.Disposal was terrible into the forward 50 and the lack of marks inside 50 would of been very low. Many players down today, thinking of the week off fishing in Darwin.
Players back next game Rhyce Shaw,Swan,Richards and Holland.

gotta hate it when Clement's our best on ground - cos you know that we lost then.
only heard it on the radio via internet - we didn't ever seem in the game (apart from the first 30 seconds). The whole game smelled like a 'tank' to me. inclusions of rowe and yakka a case in point (rhyce? no back up ruck? o'brien?) , as well of the lack of movement in the coaches box. pendles and thomas should maybe not be in the side together. we could have given davies another run (even though i thought he should have been dropped). wakelin a big loss, just put too much pressure on the back line and could have freed up clement to go onto davey.
anyway, i'm surprisingly unannoyed. just hanging for swanny and brodie to come back in and for us to thump the swans.
cheers and go pies!
