One of the best team efforts that I have seen from the Pies for a long while.
There were stand outs but the real ones who I thank have stepped up to claim a space in the starting 22 are -
Carracella - man he was everywhere on the ground from HB to HF. This guy is real class and he really showed it tonight,
Magic - real chance for goal of the year. He is really playing a team game now and not trying to do all the Party Tricks. Unbelievable and as he said he is working extra hard at training and now it is paying off on game day,
Heater - Rising Star winner or not he is guts and hard working - 100%. Boy I bet Ray had a smile from ear to ear all night. Came in to the side to replace Burns and he is now a clear cut starter for each game,
C2 - Back up ruck for this year and played well around the ground. Not quite yet at the speed but looked great and far more mobile than in the past. Lets Josh have a spell on the bench or in the forward line and that can only mean goals,
Tarrant - was very lost early but worked his tail off and got the right results. He looked to have found the right tempo to play at now and in the 3rd quarter when Dids hit him on 2 leads (pin point passes) for goals - Taz knew he was in the right gear,
Didak - how good can he really be ??? Running around the midfield he was like a Simon Black in his clinical disposal to Taz and the other forwards.
All the other players were unbelievable and Swanny keeps on keeping on.
Pies have found a way to all play together and the team unity is the strongest point.
It will be very difficult to find spots for Ruz, Rhyce and Pendles in the coming weeks - but should any injuries occur we have loads to come in.
This is by far the deepest playing list we have had for over 15 years.

All played well and contributed. what more can you say but............................
"for the premiership is a cakewalk"!
It lokking like our year.
Side is better than 03 cos there are no passengers. and players waiting in the 2nds.
Got back to Bendigo at 11:45pm and spent the rest of the night watching the tape. What an enjoyable evening . Got to bed after 2:00pm

This is the best game that I have seen since 1991...the whole team played like CHAMPIONS which they are and I believe that they will go the whole way and 2006 will be the year of the MAGPIE

This side is considerably better than the one we had in 2002. MM has already spoken about our added depth, but 2 other reasons stand out to me. Firstly, back then we still had to rely on Bucks to win really big games, whereas now, we have a much more even spread of talent. Secondly, back then it was mainly our defensive pressure which we relied upon to wear down the opposition. Now we have some awesome fire power, and are making a habit of not just winning, but absolutely smashing sides. To be honest, this side is beginning to look more fearsome than our 1990 side. Pre-season I thought we'd finish 5th, or perhaps 4th if we had a bit of luck. As it stands we should realistically be aiming for a top 2 finish and a crack at the flag. Bring it on I say!

That is exactly how it was. I could'nt believe the commentators expecting a Geelong comeback even when they were 10 goals down!! They would not give our team the credit for playing excellent footy! the sills were absolutely increadible. I hope we play like this in september; Intense 4 quaters! Even MM was so proud of the guys he found hard to hide it in the intervew!!!Leggie wrote:Awesome. Absolutley awsome.
One of the most comprehesive wins Ive witnessed by the boys in a long time.
I know we flogged Carlscum as well but this was 4 quarters of complete domination.
Geelong never had a look in from go to wo.
Bring on the dogs.

Was privilege and a pleasure to be there.
Outstanding team effort.
Nathan Buckley is a rare talent that has to be seen to be believed. Make the most of this opportunity people as he will not be playing forever. You simply must see the man live to understand why he is truly the best player of the modern era.

Wow what a great team effort- no passengers that I could see.A fabulous performance.
I thought that Chris Tarrant's game was equally as good as Chris Judds was last week for the Eagles.
As for Nathan Buckley, words just can't describe his contribution- honestly the way he is playing he would have to have another two seasons in him at least.
Leon Davis- Mr consistency this year, playing great football.
Dane Swan- the most under-rated footballer in the AFL.
The list goes on...

Awesome effort, on a night like that its almost unfair to single any player or any one aspect of our game out, we were dominant in all facets really.
Game plan floored them, match-ups floored them, got selection right, MM thumped Thomson etc.
But what really excited me was the truly incredible commitment of the players to run hard (and I mean run hard and all night), rarely seen any team prepared to do the running Collingwood did on Sat Night. Ran hard, worked hard, worked so hard for each other off the ball and in applying defensive pressure and so hard at the contest -it really was beautiful to watch from a Collingwood supporters perspective, jeez I really hope we can keep that up.
Very taxing brand of footy so our depth will be tested in coming weeks I feel.
High rotations off the bench are working well and will be a must playing that brand of footy, rotations with selections will also have to come into play you'd think, to keep that up.
HEATH AND SWANNY ARE THE REAL DEAL -amongst our very best week after week I reckon Roids, Heater and Swan might be raffling the Copeland at the minute.
Neon might well have finally arrived, been very consistant this year and plenty of his 'magic' is coming off this year instead of being teasingly close.
You could really go on and laud just about every area and player -it was one of the best performances I've ever seen from a Collingwood side, only hope there is more of it.
We might not have got over West Coast but we certainly seemed to take a lot of confidence from going with them for three quarters.
Sat night was one of the most exciting games you'd ever see from a side you support, just an incredible display of work ethic and go till you drop.
Would love to see us keep that level of desperation and determination up for the remainder.
WELL DONE PIES!

Just couldn't believe what was happening right in front of my very eyes saturday night - but loved every second
Couple of points from me:
- Lica's running was second to none. I bet his heart is the size of Pharlaps!!
- Although Cam didn't get near it most of the night [compared with nearly everyone else], he did run hard for his team.
- Health shaw is a revelation.. how good is he playing!!
- Don't think Didak kicked a goal which is unusual but i think he worked himself into the game beautifully. He is all class!!
- I think Presti may very well be god!!!
- I'm still pinching myself!!
- Yes, it was a supreme team effort & every aspect but it has to be said,.... what the hell happened to Geelong last night?!?!?!?!?!?!
