Pre match: Changes for the Cats game? - All comments here...
OUT:
Jason Cloke (omitted)
Blake Caracella (omitted)
Harry O'Brien (returns to rookie list)
IN:
Nathan Buckley
Cameron Cloke
Scott Pendlebury
Last time we met we accounted for the cats by 25 points. Didak kicked 5, Holland had 33 disposals and Clement 29, Cam Cloke gathered 17 hit outs against King and Ottens.
There is no legitimate position or match up for J.Cloke, and Caracella didn't impress - I don't think he is 100% fit. Harry is a forced change. Bucks is a certain starter, and I think Cameron is the ideal ruckman/CHF backup. Travis will be all the better for a spell in the 2's.
I think Pendlebury must come in on the back of his B.O.G for Willy last week. Will add a real touch of class to our workmanlike mids. Saturday night on the MCG would be a great opportunity to introduce him to the Collingwood faithfull.

Out: O'Brien, JCloke, Caracella, Wakelin
In: Richards, Buckley, Pendlebury, RShaw
That will leave Presti, Maxwell & Jimmy to take Geelongs talls. Geelong will have Mooney, Kingsley, Playfair/Gardiner/McCarthy so we should be right. A bit of extra leg speed coming off a tough game against West Coast i think is the way to go.

Love to see Pendlebury get a game, but would love more to see Racer come back & play a blinder if ready... Definately not drop Maxwell & my preference for a backup ruckman would be Cam. Would love to see Cam play on Mooney & let them 2 beat each other up all night. Cam would be good at distracting Mooney, could be entertaining!!

How many times has Shaw been BOG for Williamstown this season?favourites 2006 wrote:Shaw should come in not pendles, his been a proven player for us and deserves to slot back in.
He's coming back from a serious knee injury, we're travelling ok, so there is absolutely no need to rush him.
Pendles should debut.

Don't think Pendles will debut given teh article in the sun about him not being ready.
Agree with Zeke otherwise though, consistent BOG or almost-BOG performances for Pendles makes him demand consideration.
Out:
J.Cloke (purely a matchup thing)
O'Brien (so Ruz can play at willi)
Carra
In:
Buckley
Richards/Cam (Zeke has a good point about Cam and geelong, and both
King and Ottens are the big bang and crash ruckmen, so
Richards will just get snapped by them physically, and
he's never played geelong before)
T.Cloke (he's had is rest now, bring him back to help out the forwards).

Agree! Although would like Trav in as 3rd tall forward, Cam/fraser can alternate forward/ruck/bench.Damien wrote:should try to keep the changes to a minimum I reckon - keep the side settled:

I don't think you can drop C1 and Obrien. Taking two defenders out of the team unbalances the side?
As for the mention of dropping Wakes!!!! Was our best defender last week!

Caracella did impress - set up a few goals (one to Burnsy in the third with creative hands) and was cool and calm across halfback. Keep him i, he is vastly underrated. There is no legitimate position or match up for J.Cloke, and Caracella didn't impress
IN: Bucks, Richards
OUT: O'Brien (?), ?
(?) - If the rules apply for Harry.
