light wind (10kph)

I think conditions will be ideal for football - I don't think it will trouble us at all. the players will probably like it - will be like playing a day game under lights. But it definitely won't hurt the Weagles' runners either!

(thanks to weather.com)
Bureau of Meteorology is still saying (think I'd actually trust an Australian site rather than a U.S.A site for temperatures here in Australia - www.bom.gov.au - actually the highest viewed site in australia)

Saturday Fine, sunny. Min 10 Max 30
Sunday Fine. High cloud about. Min 12 Max 28

I'm so looking forward to getting off the plane from cold melbourne and stepping out into 30 degree sunshine :)

interesting to see how the boys go without buckley...no doubt it is a huge loss and with cousins and hansen returning, it really gives the eagles an added advantage that we did not need. They already have the home ground advantage, now we go in without our captain. But Collingwood is best when we have our backs to the wall. A loss is not the end of the world, but a win would mean so much and shut up all the critics. We have everything to gain from this match, with not a lot to lose, so we shouldnt be feeling to pressured.

Big opportunity for the boys, we beat them without buckley and about 5 others last year

exactly. I'm starting to feel a lot better about this match. If we lose, doesn't mean much - countless premiership sides have lost to the Eagles at Subi, even when the Eagles weren't much good. If we win, however...well, it will be the biggest thing since the 2002 qualifying final win against Port.

Let's just hope the players don't have this mentality - and I don't think they will - their mindset has been spot on this year. I think they will be very disappointed if they lose.

I had to go home and watch the replay after the game as I could not believe we won. :P
