Looking at that pic, I was sitting just off to the right, and what you see was about the best they could muster all day.

And yes, I did get a little wet from the downpour at half time, but my waterproof clothing did the job in keeping me warm.

YAY!!!!!!!!!

Wasn't going to go, but bro talked me into it - I hope the club appreciate all this money I'm pouring into them!
Fantastic win - to kick 21 goals without anyone getting a real bag is a great sign. Shame Thomas the tank couldn't kick those two in the first quarter after those fantastic marks........we could have WON by 21 goals!

Notice that no-one's mentioned the umpires?? Personally, I thought they were an unmitigated DISGRACE, the only reason the free-kick count ended up at scum 15 us 11 was those eveners they gave us in the last quarter. Where the hell were they in the first half????

Anyway, great to see Presti pull another great game out of his pocket - that fight for the ball and steal in the third quarter was beautiful!
Raps to Leon too, his ball movement was great

Bring on the Toast!!!!!

Absolutely sensational win - our third quarters are amazing! Great team effort I thought, loved Swan (his goal in the 3rd q was very clever) and H.Shaw's work. Always fantastic to give the blues a hiding :D

Real test coming up this week.

Very good win - as they say - 'Nothing is better than beating the Blues.'

Best part of the win for me was the way and speed that the boys moved the ball around the ground.

The second half looked like a traning drill for playing in Perth next week.

I cannot believe the difference in the skills - they have really improved.

The 1%'ers were unbelievable - running and shepherding.

A good year, no matter where we finish, is beating the bombers and the blues...as far as im concerned, i feel like we've won the premiership already.

Listened on the radio while watching the son play juniors. it was friggen freezing. One of the kids had a shot from 40 metres, the ball traveled 30, stopped in midair then went backwards by 10.

Bowled straight home to watch the last quarter and a bit on replay and thought it was a training run with navy blue witches hats. Love that Goal Daisy kicked after outrunning eddie betts. :P

personally, I'm stoked at how we'rer playing after two shocking years, but I'm not going to get wound up in making predictions until we turn for home after round 11.

Fantastic Effort.....The boys are showing exactly why they made consecutive Grand Final Appearances..... Ironic that they were against the team now on the bottom of the ladder while we are ejoying the view fron TOP!

Only 6 rounds in & not only have we accounted for both the Dons & Blues comprehensively in the end, but we sit at the top of the ladder with our old foes down at the other end sitting right beside one of the alleged 'greatest' cheats,.. uumm teams in history!!

I'm LOVING 2006 so far!
Let's bring on the Eagles

This years effort so far has a lot to do with the confidence factor as we all probably know...this has flowed on to one of the reasons we are doing so well...our kicking....eg. new intro of Shaw on a full time basis...his kickiing so far is 8/10. Tarrant and Rocca ( apart from one of the games) are kicking well...Tazza's actually making the drop punt spin with no variance....maybe to do with his knee now being OK....Johnson..much maligned for his kicking...is now finding the spot....8/10. The back line drills have been spot on...the form of our forwards has straightened us up..no more of continually heading wide to the flanks as often...

It was mentioned on Foxtel's "the Winners" that this was the first time we've kicked 100+ points in a half of football against Carlton. Very Interesting. Perhaps we should have declared at 3/4 time? Nah.

First time we've beaten the Dons and Blues in 1st half of season since 1998. I've got the warm fuzzies now. hehehe....

Just watched the replay after listening to the game on radio. Carton were still in the game half way into the 3rd quater, then the intensity was too much for them. We kept finding our targets and better skill and team play we "blue" them apart!!! :D Everyone has come down on Carlton palyers loosing the game through bad skill missed takles how about giving us the credit for good skills and better team play!

first time I have seen Marc Murphy and I was a bit disappointed. Neat enough player who can already hold his own at the top level, and good kicking, but a shadow of Thomas's spark and brilliance and X factor. No doubt he will develop a lot more but so will Thomas - at this stage I think we got the "real" #1 pick.
Who to drop for Rhyce???
