It was an interesting game for the first half i thought i was watching a replay of 2004/5 then the real Collingwood team came out in the 3rd and blew the blue baggers away.(WHAT ABOUT OUR 3RD QUARTERS!)

We will not get away with that though next week against a WC team on the rebound, we will need to add an extra runner or 2 aswell as West Coast have midfielders all over the ground.

Loved it. Sloppy first half but after that we were just unstoppable.

O'Bree, Swan, Licuria and Burnsy were magnificent in the midfield. They may lack pace but make up for it with their ability to rack up the stats and use it well via the hands. Top marks to all four.

Bucks was Bucks, chugged along nicely and came into the game in the final term when let loose in the midfield.

Neon Leon - terrific effort, if he can keep that up the side is a hellava' lot better for it. Slippery, slimey and 'untackleable' - Mr.Cool of the AFL.

Fraser was solid around the ground, and each week, he continues to improve.

Lonie was solid, while I felt we missed the run of both he and Jonno in the first half. We broke away only when the pair hit their straps in the second half. Jonno, in particular, was very good in the final term as a makeshift forward.

Dids was solid-handy, Holland prolific and Clement cool and calm in his 200th - onwards and upwards, Jimmy.

I liked Heaters first half, very calm and collected, and is now beginning to become an integral part of the defence. O'Brien has decent pace, but seemed to be led to the ball a bit too often by Waite, who appeared omminous at times. He will improve.

Maxy was handy, not spectacular, lined up across half forward.

Pebbs and Taz did the job - not a day for marking forwards, and the former in particular, was worth his wieght in gold. Bombed home some rippers!

Daisy, as one of his nicknames suggests, provided the spark, and Lockyer was very consistent. He slips under the guard, does Tiny Tarks, but he does the job. Much improved this season.

Overall, very pleased - a great way to build on the momentum for Perth and the Eagles. Hit them with all our might and we'll be in with a show.

Keep on punching Pies! Match report up later. Carna' Pies! :D

Just to highlight something...how good were O'Bree and Burns at the stoppages? Unstoppable, in the final term particuarly. :) Granted, the conditions suited them.

Did anyone notice that there was hardly a cheer squad for Carlton towards the last half of the game? I swear there was about 10 of them down there.
Anyway, well done Pies, kicked major behind in the 2nd half!!
Real test is next week and I think we're a good chance to win it.

What is it with our 3rd quarters each week. I thought we played shit football the first half, but I was not really surprized at how easily we turned it on when it counted in the second half. It was a good decision to rest richards, as Fraser was all we needed in the ruck. I guess we'll need richards back next week when we take on cox, who is 7' 12". My tip is that Harry will make way for Richards. MM might also be looking at bringing back Rhyce Shaw. The only other player who might struggle to maintain his spot in the side is Maxwell. I'm not saying he played a bad game, but from where I watched the game, he seemed to struggle to have an impact on the game. But how can you drop players from such a great team effort, I don't know. Well done Pies.

Unbelievable. Wow!

I have more to say, but haven't got much time atm.

I wasn't too happy at half time, and I was freaking cold because of the rain that was coming down. I've gotta say though...that second half was awesome. A sight to behold.

The Collingwood team in the second half today was a side possessed. I can't stop shaking my head at how good they were. Fantastic!

IMO :

O'Bree - Made a few mistakes when the pressure Game was close and the pressure was on , but was excellent in the latter part of the 3rd and 4th quarter 30+ disposals, good game.

Bucks - Reasonably quite ( for buckley standards but sitting in the forward line the whole 1st and half the second Q didn't help followed by a stint on the pine) though had an impact when put on the ball especially at the centre bounce.

Fraser - Well beaten in the ruck ( which seems to be our weakness for the last few years) but was excellent around the ground.

Maxy - Very quite game had a few touches on the HFF.

Pebbs - well beaten by whitnal in the 1st half , had a couple of influential touches and goals in the second.

Taz - quite 1st half but worked his way into the game in the 2nd.

Neon - Great 2nd half every time the ball went near him something happened if only MM would start him on the ball and leave him there.

Johnno - Great game over all set up goals , kicked goals did it all.

Swanny - would have to be the most improved player in the league great 4 quarter effort by swan.

Licca / Burnsy - both had a good solid performance.

Clement - Best Backmen in the league by a mile!

H.Shaw / Daisy - Both continuing great form.

Dutchy Holland - Great game again , he's one bloke that always lifts against Carlton.

Dids - Did some good things but in and out of the game.

T.Cloke - Same as the last 5 weeks quite but doing a job needs to have a big game soon or he will be willy bound especially when the 'RUZ' gets a game or 2 under his belt.

Wakes / Presti - usual solid performance , Wakes disposal let him down on occasion.

Overall - Ended up a flogging and a good team win all the talls didn't have an influence again but we still won which is good , we wont though get away with playing like we did in the 1st half against the eagles.

So that would make it two Carltons that collapsed this afternoon - one expected, the other sudden.

Yes, I know, bad taste - please don't get all righteous on me!
