What a great game.

Fancy the arrogance of Choco's wankers to confront our Cheer Squad like that. Got what they deserve in the end.
That banner is great, they must have gone to a lot of trouble to make those huge pictures of Lonie and Obee.. Might have meant quite a lot to Obree and Lonie to see *real* supporters giving them that great tribute, after the vicious nasty crap comments about them over the years from *so-called* supporters on forums like this.

Great Win. Was a little disappointed we lost a little percentage in the last quarter. ;)

Third quarter was brilliant. Knew we had it won when I saw just one port player forward of the centre at the centre bounce after about our 5th goal in the quarter.

4 Down, 8 To Go.
Go Pies!

Very good display.

How important has H Shaw been this year... he's sensational.
Beware the swooping Magpie.

As in my preview,
-we kept chad cornes quiet he ahad a lot of kicks in the back half that were not effective
-kane cornes was in effective as well
-Tredrea could not get into the game (presti best for mine)
-if deluca could have stepped up for port lade would have played more foward he looked dangerous down there.

our positives
-heath shaw and harry obrien
-rocca and tarrant being focal points allowing opportunities for bucks and didak
-lone stars dash from half back
-overall a good even contribution from everyone keep it up

A visit to Melbourne is so different when you team gets up, that third quarter was awesome.
Presti did a good job with the backline, and it was good to see Dale Thomas and Harry O'Brien doing the good work of spoiling and running the ball out.
I noticed that the Port cheer squad were very noisy although they were pretty quiet during the 8 unanswered goals. So Pies Cheer Squad you might have to get a bit louder next week, especially against the blue trash!
Bring on Carlton, in fact bring them all on. I can't wait to head south with the SCSC guys for the Geelong match.
I still reckon Rocca got that goal

We didn't get our 40 acres and a mule
But you're my piece of the rock
And I love you CC

I think the best thing about the run is the fact that every week someone else bobs up this then releases pressure on the tarrents n roccas which allows them to play their natural games.

Honourable mention to Leon who got more time up the ground. He is still struggling to get right into the game, but this week was an improvement - he got a bit more ball and his pick-ups and disposal were first rate. He still stands off the action too much, but if he can build on this we need his pace and skill.

Also, as mentioned, T.Cloke might not be damaging yet, but he covered a heck of a lot of ground with good leads and helped open up the forward line. His best movement this year.

Never in doubt in my mind. Presti has owned "No-Friends" Tredrea for years.

Of Richards 8 creditted tap outs in the game there was one ripper....but thats about it. Unfortunately this is our biggest weakness in the link. 56 minutes for 3 kicks & 8 tap outs is not good enough. De Luca in his 1st game got 8 tap outs....as the season progresses this could be our achilles

Excepting for the three 'GIMME' goals from that MUTT umpire at the end of the 2nd quarter...the game was one of the best that I have seen the boys play. Its amazing that when they play their open style of footy and ernt involved in the 'stop start CRAP' that they play like a team of CHAMPEENS which they are any way.

And we may have had 16.2 at one stage...but we then let em off even further with 8 points in a row when we were visibly tiring...(Didak was still pretty sore from the previous week as well)

We were indeed 16 2, and one of those points was a rushed behind!

When it comes to Rucking Richards and Fraser are very similar...

They're Good tap rucks and Fraser has the bonus of being able to go forward...

Therefore 1 tap ruckmen is enough in one side... Every week we get pushed around in the ruck (Hille was an example last week) and we need some bulk, someone that will crash and bash and when push comes to shove they can shove...

Richards isnt pulling his load around the ground, he looks slow and i cant see him standing up and taking a pack mark inside the forward or defensive 50...

I have been saying this for weeks...

CAMERON CLOKE must be in the team! hes not in bad form for willy, hes been kicking goals and actually doing stuff around the ground...

he has bulk, hes not slow, can take a mark inside 50 and can stand up and push and shove his way through...
not to mention he can kick the pill 60 - 70 yards and can go forward...

please put richards in the twos, let him regain some form around the ground and let him see what its like to push and shove someone not as big as him... let him have it his own way and it might give him some confidence...

Im not saying hes a bad ruck, im saying that atm hes not doing his job just at the minute and hes being intimidated and when it comes to Dean Cox in 2 weeks he has got no hope of keeping him quiet around the ground in the form hes in...

Once again we cant have 2 tap rucks we need 1 tap (fraser) and one big strong 1 (in Cam Cloke) that can intimidate

The combination has to be Fraser and C. Cloke
