Never feel mercy for the opposition. Destroy them.

Tarrant, Maxwell and BUckley will probably beat him but geez SHane has had a great start. He is kicking it longer, and simplifying his game, which is the way to go when your disposal is a bit weak. Id love to see a stat as to how many clearences he has had this year. Buckley and Obree at the bounce is a killer

Without a doubt that is the best gaem I have seen Taz play - not the goals - all the 1%ers the shepherds he laid, the chasing and harassing.

Very good team effort with people in the forward line starting to learn (from the Duck) how to control their space and keep people out of their space.

You can now start to see how the Duck's knowledge is being passed on and especially in the last quarter when 4 of the Pies were all running towards the open goal - many times. This all comes from controlling the space and leading your imnediate opponent out of their space. All the fowards are now playing with the awareness of each others area in the forward line.

Defenders were superb and Harry is showing why he will be so good.

Very good tune up for Anzac Day.

MK wrote:Well done RICHARDS. After the first quarter I was yelling for your blood but after that, your tapping skills were spot on...but For christ's sake..when you are about to kick from a mark have some confidence...don't look around like a rabbit with a spot light for 5 minutes...you are missing the opportunities further up ground....Cam will have to wait at least another week Guy...keeep it going...
Another week!??!??
I know Cam kicked 4 in the 2s but he is never ever going to take Richards spot whilst fit. Please get over it. Write to the club and ask Cam out - he may well fancy you too. A nice restaurant and a bottle of wine - you might be half a chance. Take Dave86 and a few other Richards knockers with you. Just keep the conversation very very simple and speak sloooooowly so you can all keep up.

Unless some of you clowns start to apologise for your ridiculous "Cam Cloke is a better ruck option than Richards" statements - as soon as i have time i will expose you in a thread. Bring em on!

Richards has improved each week. Some of his tap outs were fantastic.

The pressure is on all positions and that's the bonus.

North didn't look like much chop at all did they?!?!?!?!

Taz - Fantastic to watch! Love the tackling & running!
Swan - Has been in good form for a long time now!
Johnno - This guy is very important to our side!
Maxwell - He was everywhere!
Richards - Now i know who he is!!!
Lockyer - Was very happy with his performance!!

O'Bree - Sorry, but he just doesn't do enough GOOD things to justify his spot in front of others like Burns for example IMHO,......... or Kinnear
Too many turnovers, rainmakers & hospital handpasses!!!

In my opinion, first game in ages where the intensity was there for the full 4 qtrs. Good to see we didn't give in or take the foot off the accelerator at any time.
Good work Pies, keep it up for ANZAC day and show those bombers a thing or two!!

My gut feel is that great performances with Willi need to be rewarded with a senior game -- but who could you drop ?

The boys were fantastic yesterday , even Trav whose timing for marks was off , but who did everything else really well . The pressure he applied for a big bloke was great.

Now please do it to Essendon . I have a bet with a mate that I go to the ANZAC game with every year & I'm heartily sick being the one to pay up.

I was privileged enough to watch the last 1/4 on TV and because Ch10 were not showing replay's of marks taken, I cannot verify my point. But in the last 1/4 around the 12min mark, A.Rocca marked in the goal square and was then placed the tightest arsed-out angles. Can anyone confirm this?

One of the most odd but time-honoured traditions in the AFL will disappear from next season as part of a league push to keep play flowing.

The rule that prohibits the full-back from bringing the ball back into play until after the goal umpire has waved his flags is no more from 2006 with players instead able to kick the ball-in immediately after the score has been signalled - as has been in the case in recent pre-season competitions.

The rule change is one of three that will be introduced into the 2006 home and away season - along with several other rule interpretation changes - with the other two also likely to win approval from the bulk of fans.

The first of those is allowing a player who has taken a mark or been awarded a free kick in the goal-square to have his shot for goal from directly in front, rather than on whatever angle the controlling umpire deems appropriate.

P.S Collingwood's crowd silencer was awesome, hope to hear it next week.

Confirmed. You know how umpires work. One rule one week, different the next.

didak's kick was going straight through the middle, but because Rocca was floating across he was on or near the line of the goal square when he landed. The ump put him on an angle. In hindsight Rocca probably should have shepherded it through.

I just want to add that Didak played one of his best all-round games. He played a part in around 10 goals on my reckoning. He kicked three great goals and his sublime delivery set up at least 5 others.
Go Pies!!!

I saw it that he did mark in the square and then moved over after he took it.
