Maybe Mick feels like this is a match we can afford to give O'brien a run in?

Given that Maxy is only a 2nd year player (i think) and O'brien is just a few behind in terms of games played, we're probably not losing a whole lot in the tradeoff and the experience gained by Obie is invaluable. I think we need speed, O'brien needs experience, and since the Kanga's aren't all that flash I think it's a fair swap.

Some of you guys are way too convinced that Maxy is the next superstar. This may be true, but for now he is still very much a third or fourth tier player, and can be replaced pretty easily.

i was shocked to see maxy get dropped, strage move because max has more versatility than big harry, plays cooler and is proven on more than 1 occasion.. however as long as its to our advantage i dont care..

one of the advantages of having depth is the ability to manage players, Maxy may have a niggle, may be tired, maybe ha has church commitments! who knows, maybe its bluff and he will line up this afternoon.

Point is it's silly to make judgments of MM and the staff based on speculation, and i't silly to wail every time a player is rotated while at the same time screaming for new blood to be given a run. We can't have it both ways.

Massive game today for the boys............little bit of season defining stuff me thinks.

Kangas are one of the sides you have to beat if your going to be fair dinkum about playing finals. Essendon were very good yesterday and I think they are a better side than North. We have to win this!

I to am surprised Maxwell is out for O'brien. As good as Heath Shaw was last week I am also surprised he is in front of Maxwell as well. Clearly Maxwell has broken a team rule on or off the ground bc its just odd.

The key to winning today is going to be good clean ball from our mids. Our fwds will need all the assistance they can get bc defensively North will put us under a heap of pressure.

spot on!

I'm glad Harry is getting another run as the kid excites me. Personally, I would have kept Max at the expense of Tarks or Wakes but it's no big deal, IMO.

not happy burns is still at Willi, though
