Footy's Back
Before the game i was thinking dont really care if we win or lose as its only the NAB cup. But i forgot it doesnt matter when or where we are playing i love footy and i love winning!!!
I was mighty hungover but it was worth putting my sleep on hold to be at the game.
Tarkyn what a game, milne got spanked. Which makes any game enjoyable to watch.
Sadly Sexy Texy didnt show enough to warrent another game until he gets some mongral and grunt.
Rocca will be better for the run his kicking will improve
Obree was great maybe its having the 11 spaced out so much that is balencing him out (ignore me this was my cousins and mine reason for him being able to hit targets)
Dale was exciting for a first gamer and looking foward to seeing more of him.
I feel that Guy is being eased back into the game as he is fragile and we dont want to rush him.
Overall bring on the real season!!!!!

Exactly Cam, I listened to the post match interviews and Grant Thomas was extremely disappointed, a bit too much considering it was just an NAB cup match, I am certain that St Blunda's intention was to win it this year, they had only 2 regulars out and we ran the kids mainly.....Make no mistake, St Kilda were trying to win this one and wanted it pretty badly to set up their season. Why else would everyone, including that waste of a paypacket hamill, be out there - bar the injured kosi and clarkes? That makes this win the little bit sweeter.
With Taz not really having a blinder and Bux, Wakes, Jimmy, Scotty and Shaw all to come back in that side....well I am salivating already at the prospect of a very very big year....(how good was it to see C1 firing the way he was and did my eyes deceive me but did he lose the Cloke family Big Arse syndrome over the pre-season?)
Cheers

It was the best game I have been to in ages... havnt had so much fun in years!
Me and my 15 friends had a ball, we acted as if it was a final. Screaming, yelling, on the edge of my seat.
Very Interesting, full of excitement, exilerating game!!!!
Hope to see it more in the future*
Jason Cloke was fantastic, very well skilled these days is C1.
also congrats to josh fraser for his great game!!!
On the other hand cam cloke phhhftt what were they thinking putting him on the feild. Now i know he kicked a great goal (one which we needed) however, very clumsy and hmm he still needs work in my oppinion.
Footy is back peoples.. bring on 2006!
Go PiEs!!!!!!

After re-watching the game, my suspicion that people were being a bit harsh on Cam was confirmed.
Sure, he did a couple of dud things, but in the first half he took about half a dozen marks across the half forward line and put the ball inside 50. Sure, they may not have been precision passes, but havent people been saying that with Trav, Ant, Taz and Josh up forward that we need to just bomb it long and direct?
He, like Matthew Richardson, will probably always do a couple of cringe worthy things, but realistically, is how embarrassing the turnover is a factor in whether it's a turnover or not?
Cam kicked it out on the full, so did Brodie, so did Egan... Just because Cam's made him look like a bigger spaz doesn't mean it was a bigger mistake.

Riewoldt could go take a shit in the middle of the MCG, and the AFL would be inclined to erect a cyclone fence around his turd to preserve it as a monument to him.i_luv_licca wrote:They said on the AFL website that Riewoldt was the BOG with 18 disposals, 10 marks and 3 goals, but Licca had 35 disposals and 2 goals and was everywhere!
They are that far up his arse, they cannot see daylight.
