THE North Ballarat Roosters will align themselves with AFL club the Kangaroos in the 2006 Victorian Football League season.

The Roos have opted for a half-alliance with North Ballarat and will also send players to the Tasmanian Devils.

Up to 14 players each week could be suited up between the North Ballarat Roosters and the Tassie Devils.

Port Melbourne, the club that has been the Kangaroos' VFL affiliate for the past three seasons, cut ties with the Kangaroos last month.

An attempt by the Kangaroos to form a new alliance with Frankston was rejected last week.
The Roos should have tried harder to get an alliance in Canberra.
