This season is gone
so now we have to get something / anything out of it & to me that means giving Billy Morrison , Tom Davidson etc etc a run before we delist them / or not - but at least give them a chance .
Our recruiting dept has been the weak link & hopefully Eddies complete review will sort them out .
Do our conditioning people need a rocket - we have had one of the worst runs with injuries of any club .
I do know that our supporters don't need another season like this one
- how sad when priority draft picks is the highlight of the year
- how sad when our great hope for the future is someone like Tom Davidson who has had 2 knee recos & player 1/2 a game of senior footy
- how sad when our facilities / sponsorships / memberships is if not the best then up there with the best - and here we are bumbling along at the bottom of thr ladder
Hope springs eternal & there's always next year & I'd rather be a Collingwood supporter in these circumstances than a supporter of whoever wins the 05 flag

Adelaide are also a good wet weather team with such big midfielders and a reasonably small forward line. Doubt it would disadvantage them too much but i do think that it evens the game up a lot and takes away our slow problem. Also takes away the problem of having a small forward line.

Our recruiting last year was spectacular! Even got 2 rookies playing AFL which is amazing, then you have Egan, with others like yakka promising. Personally I think Hall will be a good player also.Warbler wrote:This season is gone

Whatever is wrong I don't think it is recruiting - knowing Collingwood that is the only thing they will majorly change in the "big shake-up", causing us to go from mediocre to woeful.
Definitley have to look at conditioning however, and also forward coaching - which doesn't mean the jury is in because of the forward injuries these 2 years. RE conditioning I suspect that in some ways the players may be overtrained causing too many soft tissue breakdowns.
