You know what, Cannibal - I'd really love to win by a point. But make it a bouncing ball right on the final siren... or as the result of a really really iffy free kick...

That way we not only win, but we get to hear them gripe and complain about it for years ("We were robbed!!"). Oh, that would just make it all so beautiful...

I wonder if Joffa will take another spoon with him.

I don't know what to feel about this game, win and we lose the prospect of recruiting a potential future champion for our club and lose- to the blues, that is always shattering.

Short term pain for long term gain.. I can't really see our club condoning the attitude of losing on purpose, no matter what the benefits.

Sometimes the 'better' draft picks don't turn out to be the best players and sometimes worse picks do. It's all a matter of chance.

Either way, I know I will find a positive on Saturday night, even if that means a loss, I will calm down eventually and see the long term benefit.

The old days of the Collingwood Vs Carlton rivalry are long gone.

These days the bombers are the second biggest club in Victoria and with the biggest day of footy outside the grand final played between Collingwood and Essendon combined with Carltons dismal recent past the Collingwood vs Carlton thing is just a memory.

To improve our club we need to lose this one - that is the way of the AFL draft system.

On the other side of the coin we may lose without trying to because although our team that will take the park on Saturday even with the injuries we have is a stronger team than Carltons the fact is they play a better brand of football than we do.

As for the question about Joffa, if we win, a grim reaper is set to deliver the spoon to the Carlton C/S. Or was, now everyone knows about it thanks to the paper, the security probably wont let them near and the Blue baggers will be ready

Buckley will kick 8.

The Collingwood reserves will beat Carlton by 11 goals.

The Blues are rubbish.

Gotta love the fact that Carlton haven't got any injuries & they are still bottom. If they win the spoon will they be the first club to win pre season comp & the spoon in one year???
