This was the first game I've been to since the last nth melbourne game (work/uni/sport commitments) - i don't know which one was more heartbreaking!! Frankly it's been a sh!t of a weekend (storm flogged, cricket OMG!) in a sh!t of a year.
Having said that, it was a game we should never have been a chance to win and shows how pathetic the roos are. They had numerous opportunities to put real scoreboard pressure on early, and consistently failed.
What scares me is it took only 8 minutes for them to turn a 22 point loss into a 6 point win.
Like everyone else, i'm very excited about O'Brien and Davies. Davies has beautiful disposal - hooray!!! Fanning looked like a REAL footballer. JC - i love the way he plays. Everyone who was looking for players to play with pride in the jumper, look no further than cloke1!
Bucks good, Caracella - was he off the field in the last qtr?
Woe - typical: slow, uninterested (yeah i know he got a lot of touches, but caught too often just standing and watching the ball go past)
Leon - sparkling first quarter: need some accuracy
Maxwell - whoever keeps going on about this guy being a forward is on DRUGS
Clement - what the? looked weak most of the game
Tarkyn - you are the weakest link......goodbye

could say a lot more, but it's all been said before.

Anyone suggesting we WILLINGLY lose to the scum next week is not worthy of the blackandwhite and should just fl!ck off and die

We watched the most overatted side beat Williamstown! That is the bottom line. North (or whatever they are called now) can take their spirit and shove it up their A@SES because it means nothing and is a complete Myth!
How unlucky were our boys considering they played 115 minutes of footy and North player 5 minutes to win the game. Our boys can hold their heads up high as they gave it their best without a forward line! A full strength side would have demolished North!
The future from 2006 and beyond is looking good! If we nail this upcoming draft, we could really set ourselves up for a real tilt at a premiership in 2007.
For all the critics of a first year player who has played very little footy in his lifetime, "Stick that up your Fanning" Really good game from him and he is showing that he is certainly worth persisting with!
A lot of the younger brigade such as Davies and O'Brien are giving us a lot of hope for the future!

I thought there was a lot to be happy with from a bad situation. All have been mentioned here so I won't go on. There were 2 negatives though.
1. We stillmake appaling decisions with the ball going forward (or in yesterdays case backwards and sideways, and backwards and sideways).
2. I have stuck with Woey but yesterday proved that statistics lie. He got a lot but he regularly turned it over by taking an eternity to kick it.He would ignore blokes 30 metres in the clear until they were manned up. He also demanded the ball be passed backwwards to him across goals in the backline over and over again when he was in no better position than the man with the ball, he refused to go forward. That said he tagged well but must take a significant pay cut to stay.

That one really hurt. I have to go listen to some Johnny Cash to try and come me down. At least they had a crack. I hate it when you get that feeling at 3/4 Time.

We went out there and played football today. We lost yes, but we played damn well and we did not tank.

Before carrying on about getting a priority pick, let's just finish the bloody season and see where we end up, rather than all these know it all pretend supporters who just want to tank games to get a priority pick. You do not have Collingwood pride running through your veins.
I totally agree with you PP. Perhaps these" Real "supporters could join mickey the wayne ker AKA nkit and follow the scum. Permanently.

I could never barrack for scumton but ge a pp is on the line and a couple of losses now for the betterment of the future wont hurt when the season is over, all we will be talking about is how good we r gonna be down the path with any 2 of the top 6 picks potential stars, as they say sometimes u have to go backwards to go forwards.

Plus do u really want carlton to get better picks than us so they can just build another st kilda the fact is we stuffed up last year by winning the last couple which lost us deledio we shouldn't make the same mistake twice we have the worst midfeild going we need these picks.

So if we win great but if we don't ahwell there's always next year the year of the pies.

What a game!

- We lost Didak
- We lost
- We nearly won, but they kicked 3 goals in 2 minutes
- Harry kicked a goal! :D
- Jason Cloke had a blinder!
- Woewodin was good!
- Maxwell, Fanning, Heater, Egan were very good :D
- I drank a lot of beer in the Locker Room :D
- The Kangaroos celebrated like they'd won the flag  however...
- ...they beat a bottom-three, injury ravaged side... by a goal :P

Oh, one more thing...

- Carlton lost! :D :P :D :P

Nice to see you only look at the last few minutes eddie.
Well according to this...

He was busy watching the Carlton vs Port Adelaide game for at least an hour into the Ch 9 replay of our game (not counting the fact he wasn't even at our game...)

Yep if Carlton wins next week and thus loses priority pick.... who is the real loser? I know what would p*&^ off most CArlton fans the most - losing the PP (after perhaps a brief hour or so of euphoria after which the stark reality would dawn on their little brains) - and they are the scum more than the CArlton players are IMO (with exceptions obviously incl some scum-barracking friends) ...

Are not carlton only on 3 wins + draw = 14 points. Them against us only affects us.
Get back on top.

Ok i suppose i should apologise to cakewalk, it looks like you guys have got some damning evidence about the pp's. I was only going from what i heard hutchi say on the radio as well as a few mates but that is not as accurate obviously as the rule book. So my apologies

I remember Kangas did the same thing to Swans.
The swans led all day at SCG and the roos ened up beating them in the last 30 seconds.....these guys are all ARSE.
Cant take it away from our guys though...they played like troopers and should have won.
reminds me of the Oz against the Poms....we lost by 'that much'
