Pretty silly draw when the Blues are TD tennents and we are at home at the G...Two_Pies wrote:Why are we playing this at the Snow Dome when the Blues are playing an interstate club at the G. I know it's a bit late to complain but what is the point of having a home ground ??
Rocca - no way. Why risk it?

We are the Roos bogie team so I expect another close one despite the odds against us. Remember when we beat the Roos at their peak with Pagan leading the shinboners.
They are slow starters. We get on top early we can hold on as our backline is playing well. Accurate goal kicking could see us win. I will take the odds on sportsbook this week for us to win.
If we don't win, next week maybe interesting. Both teams tanking it, it may be a nil all draw.
Pies by 4 points in the weekends upset.

I've had this down as a loss for a few weeks, and looking at our team as named confirmed it to me last night!! However, i had a quick play with the line up this morning and come up with this......[Just posted it in the 'Ins & Outs' thread as well] :
FB Harry Presti Wakes
HB Swan Clement Maxwell
C Woey Holland Egan
HF Carra Travis Burns
FF Buckley Hall Didak
Fol: Fanning, Lica, Davis
Ben: Morrison, Davies, Heath, Lockyer
Back 6 = Still pretty steady with enough to hold their targets
Forward 6 = Hall provides a target with plenty of class around him!
Middle = uuuummmm.... serviceable as named but then i think Davies & health will need to rotate through to gain some experience.
We are a chance

If you pull it off Benjie, I'm going to fly you over early next season and put you up at my place for the year. I'll do it, for Collingwood!Broken_Benjamin wrote:Tis ok guys Im making the trip over from Tassie for my 18th. Im the good luck charm, Only other game I have made it to this year was against Weagles and that proved to be an un expected win
We can do it, Ill be looking to see which foward stands up in taz's absence.

Didnt say Woey should be dropped, would play him forward.
Maxxy has been very good down back all year i agree. But we are playing O'Brien, Shaw and Cloke (at halfback) in an attempt to see if they are up to being on the list next year - it is the time to ask some questions and Maxwell has answered the call down back - why not give him a run down back in the 2s against the reserves best forward, rather than him filling space in the forward line? A job in which Hall can do almost as well and again questions will be answered with Hall is up to it.

NO leave him in the forward line for the rest of the season, golden opportunity to develop him as a forward under real match conditions, in preparation for next season (and to find out if he can be a good forward). I think he can be another Nick DAvis or similar.
Mind you I'd also be doing the same thing with Clement for the rest of the season, he has never (AFAIK) been given an extended test as a forward or midfielder.
