I hope Leonard doesnt actually end up in the reserves, been playing well

Big game this, a win will see Willy sit in the 8 comfortably with 2 of the teams above them expected to lose, 1 has to, and they will move within a game of Port in 5th and will find themselves in 7th, a game clear of 9th and possibly 8th

yeah he did but he got injured....they thinkit might be an ankle injury

brayden shaw got concussed and was taken to hospital just for a check up. I presume he'll be okay for next week though.

I want this Dukes man on our team! i heard Lawry might be drafted as a rookie he seems to have a bit of class about him.

From what I was listening to on the radio....Cole did some nice things burst through some packs and stuff.

Billy Morrison also did some good things...he was forward then moved half back where he was rebounding some footy's down there.

Shaw KO rocks Pies

COLLINGWOOD'S Brayden Shaw was taken to hospital after being knocked out in yesterday's VFL match between Port Melbourne and Williamstown.

Shaw lay face-down in the centre circle after he was bumped by Port Melbourne's Callum Urch in the first quarter at TEAC Oval.

Field umpires held up play for five minutes while Shaw was carried off in a protective collar.

Worried Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse left his seat in the grandstand to check on Shaw in the Williamstown rooms.

The 19-year-old son of 1990 Collingwood premiership captain Tony Shaw was then taken to The Alfred hospital for observation.

Williamstown coach Brad Gotch said he was worried when he saw Shaw go down so heavily.

"It didn't look good and put us under the pump after we lost Julian Rowe five minutes into the game with an ankle injury," Gotch said.

Shaw, who is expected to have ankle surgery at the end of the season to remove a troublesome spur, is yet to make his AFL debut.

Port Melbourne overcame a sluggish start to win 17.14 (116) to 13.14 (92) and retain fifth place on the VFL ladder.

Port Melbourne coach Saade Ghazi praised midfielders Ben Robbins, Steve Lawrence, Ben Schwarze, Justin Perkins and Ashley Watson and defender Joshua Gibson as his standout players.

"I thought Robbins and Lawrence and our whole midfield was terrific," Ghazi said.

Port Melbourne lost John Baird and Jesse Smith after they were included in the Kangaroos' squad of 23 for today's game against Port Adelaide in Canberra.

Gotch said Malthouse and Collingwood president Eddie McGuire had been in the Williamstown rooms before the game in a show of unity.

Seagulls centre half-forward Jeremy Dukes booted six goals to be his side's best ahead of Ben Davies (34 touches), Sam Cranage (29), Chad Morrison (22) and dumped Collingwood defender Ben Johnson, who had 20 possessions off half-back.

"Ben showed glimpses and got back a bit of confidence," Gotch said. "By his own admission he had been down on his form."

Top side Northern Bullants won their 10th consecutive match, beating Geelong 17.15 (117) to 10.7 (67) at Skilled Stadium.

Carlton squad players Ryan Houlihan (four goals from 22 touches), Glen Bowyer and Simon Wiggins (three goals each) and former Cat David Clarke were outstanding for the Bullants.

Geelong forward David Haynes booted four goals.

The Tasmanian Devils recorded their sixth consecutive win, 18.16 (124) to Box Hill 10.8 (68), at North Hobart Oval.

Coburg Tigers 15.12 (102) beat North Ballarat 10.15 (75) at Coburg City Oval.

Today's games: Sandringham v Bendigo Bombers, 2pm, Trevor Barker Oval; Werribee Tigers v Frankston, 2pm, Chirnside Park; bye Scorpions.
