1 end of the ground its a free kick and then when its down the other end its not!!.

4 times in the 1st quarter it was deemed to be a free kick against us,I don;t like to blame the umpires but my word, the umpires have to have a good hard look at themselves. I've watched most games these past 2 weeks and the umpires have gone down hill.

The kids in our team r having a go,ok they haven't got a lot of skill etc most r playing in their 1st yrs,its hard for kids like Fanning to ruck against much more experience players and as for Egan,i can't wait for next year,he looks good :)

I know its hard to support a team that sometimes dosn't look like they want to play but stick with them, keep the faith in the mighty magpies.

PAUL LICURIA ABSOULUTLY FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Yes, I have noticed this about Egan too - just far too many turnovers - ball handling / kicking / disposal (whatever ) skills must improve. I must admit, he does frustrate me a little.

Egan is a 18 yr old human being, he will learn from experience. Try to project forward and visualise his natural talents being harnessed by professional coaching staff.

Why do people say Freo had 2 extra players? More like 3, which umpire did you think was alright?

Anyway, today instead of taking down who kicks the goals, I took note of who the goals were kicked on. Missed a couple but

Goals Against
Clement- 3
Wakelin- 1
Egan- 2
Maxwell- 2 in the 5 mins he spent down back
Presti- 2
Heath Shaw- 1
O'Brien- 1

Wasnt sure who was on Pavlich at one stage where he seemed to go in the middle and then drifted forward. Another goal up against the boundary line in front of construction site, I didnt see who was on him and the sealer from the free kick

I know Woey stood the mark, but wasnt sure if he was actually supposed to be Pavlichs opponent

Nah he was the one chasing him.

I was noting myself who was responsible for Pavlich's goals because at one stage Pavlich had 3 and he was beaten only once.

I had him with 3 on Clement and 1 on presti and obviously 1 on Woey

PLEASE DO NOT STUFF UP THE PRIORITY PICK. I BEG YOU.

Thank god Tarrant will get suspended for 2 charges. We should be able to snatch it.

This team does not have basic foot coordination. How are we going to win a flag when the HB line and the midfield can't kick.

If they are actually trying to win I am very concerned. Lets hope not for 2006 sake.

Whilst Woey was their it was Clements bloke. Pav lost him in traffic.

Doesnt it kill you we took McKee instead of drafting this bloke.

Here, here. We have appalling injuries. But our let down for years is simply kicking skills. Specifically kicking for goal and effective long kicks. We just don't recruit enough skilled kickers or we don't develop the skills to kick long accurately. All of the stats prove this . We carry too many poor kicks in general play and up forward. We have too many guys who have been there at least two or three years who turn the ball over by foot or who don't go to the longest lead in space because they don't have the confidence to do it.

eg. J.Cloke, Presti, O'Bree, Licuria, Tarrant, R.Shaw, Cole, Woewodin among others.

We do not have enough players who have great kicking skills and this is the reason we have not taken our chances in 2002 and 2003 and any time since then. You can have all the defensive pressure, intensity and possession but a lack of finishing will do you in. We'll never make it to the top till this problem is number one priority and then fixed for good.

Sorry, but the art of long, effective kicking to space and for goal is a treasure of the game and sadly we don't provide much of this art. When will we learn that we trail the other clubs in this area?

I'm not bagging the guy, I think he has a future. However he just isn't ready for the top level. If you think he should be carried in the ones whilst he learns then fine, however for the sake of the others who pay for his mistakes I think he should be learning at Willi. When he toughens up and reduces the number of mistakes he makes then bring him back.
