I hope we field a young team full of players like davidson, hall, harry, heater, yakka, swan, davies, fanning, maxxy, rowe and go down by 4-5 goals.. Thats what i hope happens for the rest of the year, sry but the fight is over.. A win means nothing but a massive loss of a PP that we cannot afford to loose judging from the 2 previous seasons, we need these low PP picks more than ever.. It could be the diffrence in the next 2-3yrs of success or ultimate success... tough call but its not about winning these games its about winning flags.. Bucks will understand as we would never get over it if we missed on his replacement at years end...

ins: O'bree, Hall, Rowe, O'Brian, T.Cloke
outs: Rusling, Walker, Johnson, Lockyer, J.Cloke

Doubt we will need 5 tall defenders for this match as freo dont have a fantastic forward line. As long as we cover Pavlich and McPharlin, the other forwards are smalls. Therefore J Cloke may struggle to find a spot although i thought he was really good against St.Kilda. However if his brother Travis Cloke does not pull up then Jase may get another run with Maxwell giong forward again. so I think Jasons selection depends on whether Travis is fit.

Further, Richards may be brought back this week, he told me last week at training he should be right for this week but i dont think he looked entirely certain. If Richards is right then Hall and Jason Cloke are probably no chance to play as there will be too many talls and a key to freo's game is smalls.

I highly doubt Johnson and Lockyer will be left out as we need smalls and especially since jonno has some pace i just put them there because their current form does not warrant selection. I think O'Bree should be rushed in if right.

My understanding is that he was delaying surgery this season on the ligament damage that he has on his ankle because he wants to play senior footy this year!
So my understanding is that he will get a run this year or I am sure they would have told him to have the surgery by now if they were not giving him a game!

I've sat down and analysed the form of the Pies and the form of Freo and based on this I think it's time for another spanking. Freo by plenty.

Conversely, the heart says we can win this. Don't hold your breathe.

I am sick of this Priority Pick Crap. Seriously guys how is picking up a couple of 17 yr olds going to bring us out of the Slumps. Just not gonna happen. What I wanna see is CFC drafting good solid players that have already played senior footy in National League Competitions; ie WAFL, SANFL, VFL etc. Maybe then we might pick up a player ready to go. Instead of these kids who will not be much good for another 2-3 years, how are they going to help???

And besides if I thought that we were going out there to play for better drafting picks then I will stop watching altogether. No team would be doing this. If any team does not go on the field with the intention to win, then stay off the ground and don't turn up to play.

What we should be playing for is Pride; Pride in the Black n White jumper. Confidence, I think I would rather see our boys gain some confidence by having a real hot go and either winning or just losing. Just because they are AFL players and professionalism is needed.

In saying this I don't like our chances of a depleted CFC side against an almost full strength freo side. But as long as we have a real go (not like the last few weeks) then I will be happy come win/lose or draw.
All this may be summed up in one word - CHARACTER - and if that is not worth developing, nothing is.

BWP I think a lot of us think that we already have the basis of a half decent team if we can get all our players on the park. Apart from the departure of a couple of peripheral players, this is after all essentially the same team that was able to get to the 02 & 03 GF's. Some of the kids who have shouldered major responsibilities this year should essentially be playing bit parts instead of covering for the abscence of key players.

The drafting of 17-18yo's will ensure that we retain a competitive list into the future. We have also not had much of a crack at some of the premium kids coming through the system over the last few years so supporters salivate at the prospect of picking up a player who could become the next Judd, Ball, Wells or Hodge.
