Just to let you know the story, and i'm sure this will make all of you Walk's haters out there thrilled, he is out for the season, he is having ankle surgery this week and we wont see him until before chrissie.

Basically, he has been playing with impingements and spurs, broken bone in his ankle all year. He had to play Friday cos we had noone else, and he broke down. 3 jabs during a game is enough to make you want to vomit.

So running around with a broken foot, doing so cos he loves the club, not because he loves being in pain, and you hate mongers just slag him off. Broken foot, do you understand what that means, obviosuly not. He has busted his gut to the point where he cant go on.

I am biased towards him yes, but do you guys really realise how painful it is to mates of his to see you bagging a guy who has been a cripple all year?

I know this means nothing to a lot of you, but get your facts strait before you bag people.
I'd never bag our Sexy Texy, one of my favourite players and i'm sorry to hear he's been playing injured and in pain all this time.

So sick of never knowing that 90% of our players are playing with severe injuries. Injuries that can have life long effects on them, but they continue to play, because they choose to.

I say 2006 be a year free of blonde hair down at the Lexus centre.
Yeah, and the white boots ;)
Get back on top.

Didn't he respond well to some punishing hits, very impressed with this aspect of his game, very tough, bounces straight back up. He does appear slower than I thought but that might have been the pace of the game as much as him.

Each week that I see Caracella, i can't believe we wasted a pick on him.

Thought Jase wasn't bad. Was good to see him back out there.

Iaccabucci had a few problems, i thought he seemed a lacking in confidence.

Egan, although made some clangers, didn't seem to lose his confidence.

Bucks is Bucks........no more to be said

Lockyer, i think he's lost it.

Woewoden......woeful again

Ben Johnson, so sad to see the way your playing. I know we'll see that fire back soon.

Rusling, seems like he's snapped his collarbone ........

Didak injured his knee again and after he came back on, when he went off next, he was icing it.

Clement and Wakes.........like Bucks, no more to be said
H Shaw - good debut, will be better for the experience.
Cara - my thoughts at the start of the year but I think he has been good this year, not able to take the 2nd or 3rd best defender and have the same impact as if he had the 5th or 6th.
C1 - busted his balls for minimal impact.
Yakka - tough, struggled with the pace of the game, will get better.
Egan - lots of flash, not too much substance (YET).
Lockyer - not the first to be towelled up by Milne, disposal not up to normal standard.
Woey - worked hard, probably in our best on the night.
B Johnson - playing hurt.
Rusling - showed a little more of his capability with great evasive skills further up the ground, will be better for another pre-season.

Playing hurt due to a lack of alternatives. I'm not his biggest fan but he has (apparently) struggled all year with an injured ankle.

Gave up pick 37. Time will tell what that actually means to us when some of the players selected at 37 and beyond start to have an impact.

Other than Beaumont you mean?

Not a common injury. Stephen King has had 2 I think. As with all injuries, it is the luck of the draw.

Was it a lack of a game plan or the lack of capacity to deliver the game plan that was the issue.

I thought you were joking the first time you said this.
- get real, the current woods team with all its injuries would still easily beat any regular non-AFL team in the world - eg the premiers of the SANFL are arguably the best non-AFL team. I'd bet a house on this.

How silly of me to not think about Beaumonts accilies injury. What I am getting at is that it is way to coincidental that all our players, especiaaly talls are breaking down so easily.
Bad luck you say hey,how about unfit and not conditioned properly.
