You have really got to start wondering if all our injuries this year are an amazing coincidence or whats more likely our players arent conditioned or hardened enough.
Rocca is the only player in the whole bloody comp with an accilies injury, playing him injured was a bloody stupid idea, maybe we can also risk further injury to unfit players like Tarrant and Caracella as we might still make the 8  .
Look at Fraser and Richards, looks like they have never done a set of benchpress in there lives,no wonder theyare so injury prone. mal Michael was half the size he is now when he left the club. we have a serious problem with strength and conditioning and along with some players with no heart do not intimidate anyone

To Proud Pies,Johnson #26 and Eunos....all I said was that the fellows played like a bunch of sissies....I think that you guys had beeter get your FACT straight before you critisize ME.
Your mate Proud Pies criticised me for making the comment,I stich with what I say as I believe that they did play like a bunch of sissies.....The teams that played back in the Des Tuddenham,Bob Rose,Murray Weiderman days....now they played with heart and guts...they played hard, they went for the ball and they kicked with the privilage of being in the black & white colors.SOME of the fellows these days DONT play with any 'vim/vigor' and should turn back the clock and look at how the game was played in the 60's 70's & 80's.
I remember going to watch a game at Vic Park in 1968 when the Pies played Richmond...Peter McKenna played at Full forward and played like a MAN POSSESSED,Des Tuddenham was Captain,& Bob Rose was coach....now them were the days of COMMITTMENT.
Dont tell me that they are all committed today....sorry wont accespt that. Some of the team are committed BUT not 100% of the team is committed.
Now I suggest that you fellows go away, check on who played when in ther 60.70 & 80 and then come back and tell me that the fellows playing today ARE committted.
By the way Proud Pies,if you were around in the late 50's then you SHOULD remember how the team was committed.

If one forever lives in the past, you miss out on the future and the present.

As bucks4ever said, yes, they were tougher and harder in the 60s, 70s and 80's but it was a different game then.

But as we've continually said, how can anyone judge how they played on Friday night if they only saw 10 minutes of the game.

i think i know who should be committed

Peter, yes, you are right - we are not as tough and hard as the 1950s/60's/70's. No arguements there. But where you were wrong is where you said that because you'd had seen more footy from earlier years. Anyone who sees a match should be allowed to comment on how it went.

To all the people on here who rubbish every trade suggestion that somebody makes, I ask, what do you think is trade bait??

Do we offer up Jason Cloke and hope for Chris Judd? Or maybe Woewodin and pray that Dean Laidley has a brain fart and think he is a better option than Shannon Grant or Daniel Wells??

The fact is, you have to offer up something half-decent to get something half-decent. Normally it would be a midfielder for a KPP or vice-versa.

I would say there are only 6-8 untouchables in this group, and even they have a "too good an offer to refuse" price!

Well I was very pissed off at a total lack of game plan and commitment. Very few can hold their heads up that dismal performance.

And to think this is the same team (same jumper at least!!) that beat a flying West Coast, Geelong & reigning premiers Port, came within a proverbial of defeating the 2nd placed Swans at home, 3rd placed Crows & 6th placed Shinboners!

3rd degree, I'd say that the problem was not with the game plan as organised by MM and the other coaches. The problem IS with the players not implementing the damn thing. You can lead a horse to water.........................

Ok, i can safely say i've had enough of everybody's hate mongering. I know i dont say much, only when things really irk me. And your bashing of Walks makes me feel sick.

Just to let you know the story, and i'm sure this will make all of you Walk's haters out there thrilled, he is out for the season, he is having ankle surgery this week and we wont see him until before chrissie.

Basically, he has been playing with impingements and spurs, broken bone in his ankle all year. He had to play Friday cos we had noone else, and he broke down. 3 jabs during a game is enough to make you want to vomit.

So running around with a broken foot, doing so cos he loves the club, not because he loves being in pain, and you hate mongers just slag him off. Broken foot, do you understand what that means, obviosuly not. He has busted his gut to the point where he cant go on.

I am biased towards him yes, but do you guys really realise how painful it is to mates of his to see you bagging a guy who has been a cripple all year?

I know this means nothing to a lot of you, but get your facts strait before you bag people.

Clearly the problem with the Pies is all of the hair bleach they have been using has warped their minds. They are running around on the ground looking for reflections from the corporate boxes to see how their hair is looking.

I say 2006 be a year free of blonde hair down at the Lexus centre.

How do you know, Wags? And there is no way that MM would play him with a broken foot.
