1 ruckman and only 2 tall forwards, neither of which can take a contested mark. However we have 6 tall backman. Surely Maxwell and Walker will go forward, Jason Cloke will fill the void there and Walker will also assist with rucking. I still wouldnt rule out Hall.
There's more to life than footy.........just not much more.

Watching Fanning over the past month he really stuggles towards the end of each quarter. MM will have to use another tall to ruck.
Fanning for mine (18 year old Kid) has done a great job standing up as 1st ruck but you expect him to ruck the whole game.
Very rarely MM makes changes from the selected side.
Walker will help out around the ground
Agree Walker and Maxwell will go forward initially.
Didak Caracella Woey could cause a few headaches but delivery into the forwards will be critical. Will have to move the ball quickly into the leading forwards.

Herein lies the key. Would like to see it happen tomorrow night, but feel very wary of the Saints. We will be lucky to get closeR.Barham wrote: Didak Caracella Woey could cause a few headaches but delivery into the forwards will be critcal. Cloke needs to be in. He's the only one who is able to hold Koschitzkie. Good idea for him to return.burnsy17 wrote:J Clo doesnt deserve his spot in the side and we dont need a 4th tall....
Hard on Hall, I'd like him to have another week. Same with Yakka. And Harry O. It would have been good to see both in.
Good luck to Heater. I'd have kept Swanny in. He has been in good touch, and the demotion is a little harsh, no matter the circumstances.

Well, the only thing I've really disagreed with MM about this season is some of the ins and outs, and I've never disagreed as vehemently as I do tonight.
The omission of Swannie is the absolute shocker of the year. The turnaround of this kid has been pretty much the only bright spot in this dead set stinker of a lousy mongrel of a season, one of the worst in magpie history, with the Brisbane game being the low point of my forty years as a pie supporter. He has gone from a maybe at Willi to a first pick in the ones, and cannot be helped by this baffling, churlish, and almost childish dumping. I'm also dismayed by the pointless idea of giving Richie a lousy one game back, and the dropping of Rowe. Rowe should have been dropped in the previous four weeks when he was truly soft, not this week after he finally put in a good one and showed me the genuine class I keep hearing people talk about. Why wait till he plays well to drop him?
I was dumbstruck when no one was dropped after the worst game in twenty years, I'm even more so now.
I am however very pleased by the ins, Thank god Jase gets another go after dropping the entire blame for the Freo shocker on him. Great to see Heater get a go, but I would have preferred it to be left until next year when there's something to play for. I can't see it helping the kid. What can happen? If he's best on ground it means bugger all, and will be ignored, if he has an ordinary one he'll be dumped and potentially devastated. Woewie should have been brought back last week but better late than never.
Cara, Johnno, and Taz should be having a rest this week allowing Hall, Cole and Booch a fair go. Apparently you can't be dropped if you're a senior? It's not like we care about winning much, dropping Swannie proves that. The three senior guys are all going to be back next year, they could have easily had a rest on injury grounds giving the younger ones a chance to show why we want them next year.
It seems we're not prepared to give certain players the leeway others get, but Collingwood has been notoriously ungenerous with fringe players over the last three decades.
Poor old Jase has been put under ridiculous pressure by the things his dad didn't say, and will probably cop the blame again if we lose. We really need to get better at looking after our people at Collingwood. Our boards and executives have a tendency to use up and then dump people.
Hope Heater has a great game, no one knows how poorly Collingwood suits can treat players better than his dad.
