Maxwell was great when he went up forward agree 100%

However his job tonight was to take Scott Lucas and do the same job he did on him ANZAC day. Lucas tore him to absolute shreds and it was Maxwell biggest defeat on a very solid year.

Hard to be critical of him, you would expect Lucas to beat the inexperienced defender.

Maxwell is going to be a star, he is our big hope when the fab 3 down back retire and im still on the bandwagon. However at the start of this game, Maxwell went out there to beat Lucas. He was beaten badly

Rowe did have some shockers. That mark was brilliant. The kick a shocker and a waste. I don't know what to think right now. Keep him, but...how long do you persist? I have been a big supporter of him recently, but I am rapidly losing patience.

Maxy was a star.

Dave - ya off the track with Rowe mate his kicking sucks! but ya right with Maxy - he was poor early but what I really like about him is he comes back and makes immens for it. he is a critical part of our side already andhe is gunna end up another Ben Hart - composure at a very young age and will be there for a long time to come.

Damien i agree he kicking was soooooooo disgraceful in the first 3 quarters and was costly and impossible to defend.

WHen the pressure was off in the last quarter, he hit 2 beautiful left footer kicks to Nathan Buckley which turned into 2 direct goal assists. Im just saying that those 2 kicks off his non dominant foot prove he can kick the footy, he is just no good under pressure. You can see the brown in his pants when he gets the ball at critical points of the match. Calm down because you are a necessity to our midfield

He was killed off my Lucas, but showed something as a forward. He puts his body on the line, leads well, and gives a contest. Can mark and has good vision. Much much better then half the side.

true jonno but im struggling to go past the pantsing he copped off lucas early. Lucas's 5 goals were more important than Maxy's few marks.

Butttttttttt......a kid so young needs a defeat or two to stay on track and he did make amends in the second half as Damien mentioned. Does put his body on the line and is the future of our club despite what some morons say

agree with all that - but thats one of our big problems - too many guys who's disposal by foot is suss when the heat is on.

Johno I think its too early to say we have persisted with Rowe - he's only played 20-odd games I remember Licca being like that for a long while but somethings gotta be done - maybe Willi just to remind him what he's gotta do to improve.

what good is that though, virtually every player in the AFL could hit a target with their wrong foot under no pressure, but that isn't what we are after, i'm not sure what needs to happen with him, but for him to become a important, effective member of the midfield something does need to hppen

That's what I meant Damien. Play him back at the Seagulls again. He has been in the seniors for a few months now.

I think Lyon made a good comment tonight, he said that we are getting enough of the ball around half forward and enough inside 50's. THe problem is that the people who are kicking the ball inside 50 are not the ones we want.

O'bree, Rowe, Licuria, Fanning, Egan, Johnson and even at times Tarrant are just not the guys who hit targets.

We need class to kick the ball inside 50, unfortunately Didak is out, Buckley is inside 50, Lonie misses too many targets and the ball ends up with the liabilities.

I must say one thing.....before i named my votes for worst 3...id like to change them because i forgot an important player.

Worst on ground

3. Johnson
2. CARACELLAAAA: He got one shot on goal from 40 which he missed badly and didnt touch it all night. What bad form he is in. Nearly due for a dropping next week with Didak coming back and Leon doing ok tonight. Useless all night he was
1. Cloke

Ok thats the updated version
